The Space:
Keep it classy this summer and spend a week at Smooth Sailing! Enjoy a wide array of rare amenities including a Hot Tub, Fenced-In Yard, Outdoor Shower, Mini-Bar, and Central Air! Delight in the ease of planning by having walking access to Ryder Cove and nearby nature trails (both within a 10-minute walk!) Hop in the car and travel 3 minutes to the saltwater Jackknife Beach or 5 minutes to the freshwater Oyster Pond Beach. Swing by Mac’s Chatham Market to pick up some fresh seafood or Brick Block Ice Cream to grab a pint to take home!
Enter our home through the French Doors off of the back deck and walk into the free-flowing common space. Hang your beach towels up on the hooks on the left, and admire the large family-style table on your right-- perfect for group dinners or games! Walk towards the left and enter the kitchen. Pour yourself a tall and refreshing glass of water from the GE Refrigerator as you put your groceries away and begin to prep dinner in the modern and deluxe kitchen-- stocked with all stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher and microwave), large sink, and coffee maker, and adorned with a white subway tile backsplash and contrasting black granite countertops. Take a few steps over to the wet bar to find extra space to make your signature Cape Codder or Cosmo in the Bar-- packed with a second sink, prep space, bar equipment, and two high-top chairs. Enjoy a few minutes relaxing around the decorative fireplace in the sitting area, or head into the second living room to get comfortable in the oversized sectional and stream your favorite show on the TV. Across from this room also sits the unique blue and white checkered wallpapered half bathroom.
Our one-of-a-kind Cape home sleeps up to 8 in four modern bedrooms. The first of the four bedrooms sit on the first floor, off of the main dining space, and features a Queen bed, TV, large closet, and en suite full bathroom with a gorgeously updated glass shower. Head upstairs to find the remaining 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom on this floor duels the master bedroom with its Scandinavian chic aesthetic, large King bed, TV, large closet, and plush chair. Sail away in the third bedroom and feel as if you are spending a night on a real ship, with its playful wave wallpaper, and built-in bunk beds (1 Full Bed and 1 Twin Bed). The final bedroom on the second floor has 4 Twin beds looped around the central chimney and plenty of drawers and closet space for storage.

Home was even more beautiful and spacious than pictures show. We enjoyed the 2 living rooms for gathering, the gorgeous fenced-in yard, hot tub, and large umbrella table on deck for family meals. Everything was very clean and the furnishings high quality. Perfect location on the Cape.

Outstanding layout with good quality beds, furniture, and appliances. We had a large group ranging in age from 19-81, all very happy with the house. However, it does not sleep 12 adults.
It's va small property on busy rt 28 but the front yard allowed a badminton set up. The back deck is large with an excellent dining table with umbrella, hot tub and g gas grill. More than adequate parking.
The gardens are beautiful and well cared for and the privacy fence works.
Overall we rated this property one of the best we've ever rented.
As a former home owner in Chatham, I would make the following recommendations:
The gas grill should be replaced. it's been well used.
The back door (the one all use) sticks badly.
We couldn't use the stove because of grease burning (smoke). Mgt co needs to do self clean.
Again, this is an outstanding rental property.

The upside is that the place is beautiful and in a great location. But I will not be staying with the Del Mar group again. This place is PRICEY and we had a laundry list of chores to do before checking out at 9am (!!!) check out time, and an exorbitant cleaning fee. Why are we being charged so much, kicked out so early, and expected to do so much? VRBO, it's competitors, and Del Mar are getting out of hand. If prices don't matter, stay here. It's lovely.
