Nice area, dirty flat

No mugs / water glasses in the room, dirty toilet, slimy shower floor. In the tea bowl there was half opened tea packets and empty sugars. No milk. Bed was comfortable but there was a general sense of dirtiness. The main kitchen area was much cleaner, I only wish I knew about it before leaving in the morning and calling the owner to find mugs which I eventually found there.

Nice place to stay

Really lovely apartment, welcoming host providing extras like free drinks and use of his fridge etc. The room was comfortable for one night and the bathroom was fabulous.

Unfortunately it's quite far from the centre. While it is walking distance if you don't have much baggage, we struggled on our way back to the train station. And don't take a taxi there because they will rip you off! When the trams are running as normal again it is probably very convenient though - they were only covering part of the town when we were there.

Good short break to see my son. Room very good and everything I needed. Would come back.

Location was very good - host very helpful and welcoming. Relaxed place to stay.

Couldn't find key safe to get in on late arrival - had to wake host to help. Better details of where key safe was kept would have helped.

Value for money from a great host

Valentin is a perfect host. Everything was described and the same as the photos. The washing machine, the oven, the iron... You can have anything needed at a house. The room was big enough and clean.

The apartment is on the third floor and no elevator. Even though I had two luggage, I didn't mind much.

A comfortable stay in Mannheim

My host was very kind and did his best to make me comfortable. The location suited my purposes very well, being very central. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed.

Great shared apartment

The apartment is large, well furnished and pretty well stocked. You get free water, coke and beer in your room which is a really nice touch. The corridor is well stocked with more drinks as well as hot drink options (with a fancy coffee machine). The room is also perfect for a solo business stay and the location was great for getting to work or gym as it's in the centre and 1 minute walk from a tram stop. Although you do hear street noises when the window is open (mine was always open since the thermostat was stuck at 21°C) they weren't too intrusive and the view out of the window is actually quite nice. The kitchen is large and high tech and there's plenty of space in the fridge/cupboards for guest food. The bathroom is also large and beautiful. The host is very friendly and helpful but also stays out of the shared areas most of the time so there is plenty of privacy. There is a lidl across the road so you can immediately and easily do food shopping for the stay. For single occupants who seek some human interaction at their place away from home it could be a very nice stay. I could see how it could get better the longer you stay as you build a rapport with the host.

However nice all the amenities and the host are, as a single female traveler I still feel more comfortable when at least the bathroom area isn't shared. As advertised there is another room available for rent and you can't guarantee who the other occupant is. It wasn't a problem during my stay, as the other occupant was very private, and that will often be the case. Regardless, there are still little things, like not feeling comfortable walking around shared areas in your PJs or leaving your toiletries out in the bathroom throughout the stay, not seeing used dishes left in the sink, that makes me prefer a smaller more private space instead in the long run. But that is only a personal preference and if that isn't an issue for you then this place is perfect!

Es gab einen tollen SmartTV direkt am Bett und das Bett war sehr schön groß und bequem. Die Heizung hat gut funktioniert und der Ausblick aus dem Fenster was für diesen Stadtteil sehr gut. Es gibt eine Badewanne.

Leider waren sowohl auf der Bettdecke und den Handtüchern Flecken die dort nicht sein sollten. Der Fußboden schien auch nicht frisch gereinigt Leider hat es ungewöhnlich sehr sehr lange gedauert die Badewanne mit heißem Wasser gefüllt war.
