Downshire Haven

The location is the first block of the main street and still very quiet. A few cars in front of the property and a parking lot (I think behind the coffee yard) in the back so no sound at night. Nice atmosphere throughout the house. Fully functional kitchen if you know how to work all the appliances, big tv for evenings in, a little outdoor space in the back for sitting and/or wet clothes/swimsuit. Upstairs a lovely bathroom and two bedrooms. I chose the front room because there was space for my suitcase. Generous in providing towels. Close to the train with regular service to both Belfast and Bangor. I didn't need the bus but it's there as well.

Some information regarding the appliances would have been nice. And I found a whole drawer with brochures that are handy and were not advertised (please do tell about them ^_^).

Great location, really clean, super helpful host! Worked really well for 2 of us.

We found the bedroom quite loud from outdoor noise, boiler in room little loud too but didn’t really affect the stay at all.

The house was clean and tidy the host had put the essential s in for us . Lounge comfortable with kitchen area fridge kettle microwave toaster . Bathroom upstairs with great shower plenty of shampoo etc . Hollywood is lovely however would not return to Downshire haven

On the advert it says it had outdoor space this area was covered in next to outdoor bins . Could not sit out there dark dirty and drab . The main thing was the bed says it's for 2 people this turned out to be a small double ( 4 ft ) . No window ventilation in bedroom or lounge only hopper windows to open were on the landing and bathroom From a Health and Safety issue no upstairs exit if fire on lower floor .
