Beautiful bed and breakfast up the mountain, in nature, 40 minutes from Levanto.

The nature and a place away from the typical tourist spots.

We are in nature. Maybe a window with a big screen, to let in fresh air, without the bugs. But really a nice place.

Francesca was so warm and hospitable. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, as was the dinner. Great selection of wines, lovely places to walk, sunny coffee and reading spot in the morning, comfy beds and great tiled floors.

The only thing that could have made it any better would have been an indoor comfy chair or sofa to read after our kid was in bed and drink a glass of wine. This wouldn't have been necessary in summer because there was outdoor comfy furniture.

Not so charming farm stay

The location itself is beautiful even if rustic, with a view on the lovely valley. Nice wine selection and good food at dinner.

The room lacks any comfort whatsoever. No TV, poor wi-fi, no kettle to make coffee or tea, no fridge, no air con, no shutters so the light will wake you up really early. The breakfast is served only 8-9.30 ( so forget a lie in if you want a coffee ) and the selection offered is poor (only nice touch are the homemade jams but that's it). Also since the breakfast is so early, you will be woken up by very loud restaurant noises regardless. It's a place to get dinner, sleep 1 night and leave. We had 2 nights there sadly and were very unlucky with the weather so we were basically stuck in our room for the entire day due to a massive downpour / stormy weather. The restaurant was closed for lunch, I messaged them saying we were thinking of coming downstairs for a coffee and they replied THEY WERE HAVING LUNCH. The complete lack of awareness for basic hospitality requirements was baffling. If I had guest stuck in a room due to the weather I would ensure they would be well taken care of, asked if they wanted some lunch etc...

Not quite the wholesome stay we'd expected from the rave reviews

the location was wonderful although be prepared for a long windy drive on small roads to get there. The host was very nice and couldnt have been more welcoming

Farm stay

The host was friendly and accommodating. It was a typical farm stay with nice older furniture and buildings. The restaurant was closed, but the host prepared a platter with cold meat & cheeses. (Surcharge) Nice breakfast with fresh Italian cake.

Our main reason for booking was to enjoy the Agritourismo Restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed on the night of our stay. (Public holiday) We also felt like the trees, garden & grass around the accommodation need some cutting & pruning. (TLC) No glasses, water or kettle available in the room.

Amazing! We’ll be back

Rural surroundings and rustic accommodation. This is a working farm and you can go and see the cows. The restaurant is incredible and they serve their local meat, cheese and wine, they even have a sommelier. Francesca is the best host! She made us feel so welcome and made a birthday cake for one of our kids ❤️

It’s very remote which we liked. Accommodation is a bit basic so don’t expect luxury but it’s perfect for a real farm experience

Disappointing

We had a lot of expectation from the place... but as great as the expectation, so was the disappointment. Part of our passing through the area on a long trip in Italy and we thought that the place would provide a warm and exciting point in light of the descriptions we read about the family, but a very unpleasant incident in a restaurant caused the whole stay to leave a bitter taste and not worthy of the place. Hairs in the food on the one hand is an uncommon sight and sometimes disgusting, but the reaction of the owners of the place is what stunned us in light of their indifference and the lack of any insight into our needs later on... luckily we only stayed there one night and flew away very quickly the next day. We will not return.

We booked for a 1 day break for a family of 5. Staff were very helpful, providing as much information as possible from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout our stay going the the extra mile to make our stay was as enjoyable and easy - places to eat, tourist attractions and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The apartment was well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. An ideal base for exploring. We had a great time and would highly recommend this place. We look forward to staying again. Thanks!

Family who owns this apartment promotes homemade food and the countryside environment far away from the crowdy turistic sites. If you need a break from the long drive or quiet place for good rest, this is a good choice.

Very good

Lovely place in the hills with very good restaurant and wine selection, also the home made bread, jams and honey in the morning is very nice. It takes a few nervous minutes on a tiny road to reach but you have a quiet location with great views and the sound of birds & bees as a reward afterwards.

Bed was a little small and hard for our taste and could use a little thicker/fluffier bedding for extra comfort, but it wouldn't stop us from returning :-)

A wonderful, family-run Agriturismo! This was our first experience at an Agriturismo and it was wonderful. This was a truly family-run property, which was very warm and welcoming. The food for breakfast and dinner was made by the father of the family and it was excellent. The property is remote (you need to arrive by car), but it was wonderful to be surrounded by nature. I would definitely recommend!

Exceptional

We loved our two day stay at Filo di Paglia. The whole place is so charming, beautifully decorated, the location peaceful and the family welcoming. The accommodation had an understated charm, rustic and comfortable. We ate here both evenings giving us the chance to sample all the delicious food on offer and had some amazing wine to accompany. Day trips were easy but you need your own vehicle Despite it being a busy time over Easter Simone always found the time to chat to us and we felt like family. Thank you.

Exceptional

We stayed one night, but it was our first night in Italy. We had a such warm welcome. We arrived late and were directly asked if we would like to eat in their restaurant. The lady showed us the room and we could direclty have some diner which was more than welcome after a long drive. The food was very good and the restaurant looked cosy. The rooms were clean and nice. We had a simple breakfast for a good price. It's a peaceful place for people who are looking for some nature and rest. Even it was just for one night, we had a lovely start from us vacation!

Such a serene and comfy place!

We enjoyed quiet evenings and fresh mornings within our stay. Our room was lovely, very well equipped with comfy beds and air-conditioner. Francesca´s smile and delicious sweet breakfast was always great start of a new day. We can recommend this place to those who love quiet evenings and do not mind a bit more driving to reach the sea.

Dålig och fuktig och alldeles för dyr mat/vin

Ingenting egentligen !!!!

Det var slitet, nedgånget , rörigt , dåligt underhållen uteplats o trädgård och mat/dryck på stället var på tok för dyrt! Det var väldigt fuktigt så allt var blött tom sängkläder och handdukar och på 4 nätter på boendet så fyllde dem inte ens på med toapapper eller bytte handdukar ! Bilderna ljuger för det måste vara många år sedan dem togs! Kan inte alls rekommendera detta ställe

Super cudowne miejsce!!! Polecam wszystkim którzy chcą odpocząć w cichym i spokojnym miejscu zdała od zgiełku miasta. Wszędzie dookoła las i przyroda!!! Właścicielka prowadzi to wszystko z prawdziwa pasja. Polecamy opcje ze śniadaniem żeby sprawdzić na własnej skórze jak smakują dżemy własnej produkcji!!!

Camera davvero piccola, molto ( onestamente troppo per noi) basic , in totale trasparenza molto diversa rispetto alle foto della prenotazione: purtroppo non abbiamo potuto alloggiare in questa struttura: il letto era molto piccolo, la stanza era caldissima, c'era una porta che comunicava con la stanza di altri ospiti, terrazza condivisa con altri ospiti. La manutenzione era un po'trascurata ( sulla terrazza una delle sedia a disposizione era sfondata). Bisognerebbe essere piu'chiari nella descrizione degli alloggi.

L'accueil, Francesca et Paolo sont très sympathiques et aux petits soins ils sont fabuleux ainsi que Vito. Ils font beaucoup de choses eux mêmes.La chambre était bien. Les petits déjeuners sont bien. Il y a des places de parking et le wi fi gratuit. Le calme des lieux.

Il manquerai un petit frigo pour pouvoir stocker des boissons fraîches !! Dans la chambre. La chambre un peu humide. Route sinueuse pour accéder.

Ställe med potential

Fantastisk restaurang med lokala och egentillverkade produkter. Rekommenderar att man provar ostarna och korvarna. Inte billigt men det är ju ett hantverk. Väldigt trevliga och vänliga ägare. Omgivningarna är vackra, högt uppe i bergen, fina vandringsleder omkring. Ta leden 620 (märkt som Polens flagga) kanske en halvtimme från huset så kommer man till en liten naturlig pool med strömmande vatten.

Stället har potential men det finns lite förbättringar helt klart mest kopplat till själva boendet och inte restaurangen. Det är rustikt boende med betoning på rustikt och väldigt lantligt, det ligger högt uppe i bergen långt från övriga restauranger och affärer. Ungefär en 40 min från Levanto som är närmaste strand, så det blir en hel del åka fram och tillbaka till olika utflyktsmål. Vägen dit och framför allt den sista vägen från Caro går över väldigt smala bergsvägar där man helst inte vill få möte då det är både brant och smalt. Vi bodde i lägenheten under själva restaurangen och det har nog varit en källare en gång i tiden och det märktes på lukten, det är en fuktig jordig doft över hela lägenheten framför allt i sovrummet. Det fanns en bords fläkt i sovrummet som fick gå hela natten men det blev ändå väldigt varmt. Det saknades insekts nät och i och med att det är en bondgård och är lantligt finns det ju väldigt mycket insekter (framför allt massor av flugor) så det var inte optimalt att ha dörren uppe. Vi hade bokat många nätter så efter första natten åkte vi och köpte flugsmälla och insektsnät själva (vilket vi lämnade kvar i lägenheten och fick en gratis frukost för) samt en avfuktare Ariasana Aero 360 för 10€ nere på Sigma i Levanto. Rekommenderar starkt den för den tog bort den unkna lukten om ni planerar att stanna fler dagar. I övrigt så var boendet helt okej och bra med eget litet kök även om det var lite spartanskt. Trädgården och möbler ute kanske skulle må bra av lite kärlek men det störde inte så mycket och vägdes upp av den fina växtligheten.

Prachtig gelegen rustieke B&B. Het ontbijt wordt iedere dag geserveerd met een eigengemaakte taart. Unieke plek voor wandelaars. In een schilderachtige omgeving. Het restaurant is van een hoog niveau. Daar is de prijs ook naar, iets om rekening mee te houden. Kamers zijn basis ingericht. Aangezien het hoog in de heuvels ligt is het s'avonds lekker koel

De afstand tot de zee. We hebben besloten om eerder weg te gaan om nog een paar dagen dichter bij cinqueterra en de zee te zijn.

Das essen war sehr lecker und authentisch.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft. Wir hatten drei Zimmer gebucht – alle rochen stark nach Feuchtigkeit, Schimmel und alten Möbeln. Es herrschte ein modriger Kellergeruch, die Räume waren feucht, schlecht belüftet und voller Mücken. In einem Bad fanden wir sogar ein skorpionähnliches Tier. Der Außenbereich wirkte wie ein Abstellplatz für alte, verrostete Möbel. Insgesamt war alles ungepflegt. Die Unterkunft entsprach in keiner Weise den Bildern oder den sehr guten Bewertungen. Das Abendessen war zwar gut, aber extrem überteuert.
