Genuinely had the best hotel experience of my life. The setting was majestical, the room gorgeous, staff really friendly, and we appreciated how welcome our dog was. The breakfast was excellent, too. We will definitely be back.

When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist who spoke so quickly through everthing , that it was hard to comprehend all that was said. We felt extremely let down by the quality of service and standard of food in the restaurant. Our waiter was very glum and our table was situated in what we could only describe as a 'thoroughfare'. My soup was served whilst I was away at the toilet and so, it was tepid. It was replaced free of charge but we were 'tricked' into purchasing a good bottle of red wine. We were told it was a slightly more costly one but not informed of it costing nearly £80. Despite there being a lot of waiting staff dashing pass us, it was very difficult to catch their attention when I needed to ask for something.
The hotel is situated in a prime spot with magnificent views over the loch and si this was our saving grace.
