Great place to stay

The Hill Cottage itself was a gorgeous old building which had a great architect doing the modernization. On the ground floor where you entered the cottage, the two bedrooms (twin and king size beds) were located. There were additionally 2 bathrooms and a service room with the washing machine. Using the stairs you get to an open space of kitchen, dining area and living room that opens up to a garden with several seating areas. The kitchen has everything you need except a tea pot - very unexpected in England. You could park on the ground, which is important in an area with a parking space shortage. It is just 5-10 min walk to the city with lots of restaurants. We strongly suggest adding more pictures also with a greater angle to better advertise for this spacious place.

In the cottage only little suggestions: - a tea pot - better bed covers with less plastic so the covers better ventilate at night during sleep - a real drying rack for the garden The city itself has seen a decline in the last years which is becoming visible with shop closures and Penny shops. What we didn't consider / research before booking was that the enormous beach is unfortunately caused by the second biggest tide in the world, so water is mostly gone and the retreating water leaves rather mud than sand - good for walking. Swimming can be done in the morning. The marine pool is very small and the water in it is often very dirty

Beautiful peaceful accommodation

The accommodation was very lovely and everything that you could possibly need was there including games and books to enjoy. The lounge area was upstairs and with plenty of light coming through and looked onto the courtyard garden which had table and chairs, perfect to sit outside with a chilled glass of wine. The sofa was lovely and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook dinner etc and a dishwasher so no need to wash up. The spacious bedrooms are downstairs and there was plenty of storage in the rooms and lovely clean bathrooms. One was en-suite and the other one was right next to the bathroom. There was a washing machine tucked away in the bathroom cupboard and supplies in case you had forgotten something. We had a perfect relaxing holiday here. Thank you.

The only difficulty was the drive, it was lovely to be able to park outside the accommodation but a bit difficult to reverse out onto the road as the wall stopped you seeing oncoming traffic. We got round that by one of us directing the car out and warning oncoming cars

Fantastic break, just what we needed

Lovely property, had everything you needed and more so for the stay, it’s a hidden away cottage and genuinely beautiful when we got through the door through the easy accessible key lock. Welcome milk and wine! Fantastic bathrooms and bedrooms, and layout upstairs was perfect. Great location for what we needed and a lovely place to escape…..

Genuinely only a point to note, would be great to have a couple of usb points, but did not take away from the experience and fantastic break we had :)

Pleasurable stay and very clean.

It was such a lovely, clean and comfortable place to stay, We really enjoyed staying there. The parking was a real bonus. Shared but with plenty of room. Just wanted to stay longer.

We were fine, some people would not like the bedrooms downstairs, we thought it was quirky.

Beautifully decorated and well equipped cottage with character and a lovely open plan living space upstairs opening out onto a sweet garden. Very helpful hosts.

Getting the temperature right in the rooms took a night to sort.. But warmed up quickly when we worked it out...too much initially!

Perfect little home

Perfect little holiday home. Central to all areas. Quiet both day and night. Everything you could possibly need with equipment and some well needed welcome bits on arrival! I asked for a thinner duvet for the double room as I was too hot and had a sheet (which I asked for) delivered imminently! We had puzzles to keep us entertained and loved that we could chill in the garden, even have sun loungers!

Really enjoyed our Christmas break in the comfortable cottage. Would certainly like to visit again.

Good location, just uphill from town and close to local shops. Good kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Kettle and toaster and sufficient pots and pans.

This place is absolutely perfect. I have traveled to many places in the uk by myself and with my family and this home is bar far the best place I have ever stayed. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The little touches to detail where just lovely. Definitely will book here again when we travel down to see family again. Weston Getaway

A lovely spacious well equipped cottage in a quiet residential area. Ideal for couples or friends. The quirky upside down style works perfectly for the sun trap of a garden. Just a few minutes walk from the centre and seafront.

The parking is shared with the neighbour and is a little tight if you come with 2 cars however there is on street free parking.

I loved everything about the property! the decor was beautiful, it was so clean and tidy. We felt really relaxed there. would definitely come again!

I think a travel cot is needed, maybe stored in the cupboard? As someone who doesn’t drive with two babies we had a lot of baggage and a travel cot was a nightmare to travel with. That is the only thing I’d change and maybe consider for future guests, we’d definitely stay again!

A very pleasant stay at this lovely cottage

Everything! It was very clean and comfortable. The whole place was very well appointed with good quality furnishings and fittings. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals easily. The open plan upstairs was bright and light, it was great to sit in the garden end of the room, looking at the spring flowers. The shower rooms were first class. The extra large bed with quality bedding was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The walk to town and back was easily managed ~ we are a couple in our late sixties of average fitness and it took us about 15 minutes to walk there ~ a bit longer to walk back up the hill~ but very manageable.

Can't rhink of anything that we disliked.

Easy walk to the seafront, lovely little garden with a summer house and games table which the kids loved. Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Parking on the drive was a bonus and arranged a later check out which was really helpful as we were getting ready for a wedding on our last day.

Great little break- home from home

The property was very clean with all the amenities you could need. We travelled with our 11 month old and the property was very baby friendly and incredibly spacious. The location was good too but at the top of a hill, a workout with a pushchair but that is clear by the name of the property, this wouldn’t put me off booking again.

Very tough to pick anything we didn’t like however the addition of curtains/blinds in the lounge would be nice.

Fantastic family getaway

We had a great time at hill cottage. Loads of space, very modern, bedrooms were a great size and very comfortable. Kitchen and living area were also a great size and the garden area was lovely. My children also loved the board games provided and the little games room off the garden. Just a really lovely place and we’d love to return.
