La Chambre d'Emma

Beautiful room in a lovely old building with a gated courtyard. Fully equipped small kitchen, lovely big comfortable bed. Getting the keys was easy and the staff were really helpful in telling us places to go and things to do. Price was fantastic and it's right in the middle of the town.

Shower needs a bit of updating but it's functional and not worthy of complaint.

Having to walk with bags to get the keys from the agent and then go to the apartment; no soap in the shower! Intimidating list of fines on the door for not emptying bins, removing sheets, emptying fridge etc. Not a cheap property so we would have expected more “generosity” re leaving the property in a good condition

I liked the location. I liked the fact the agent responded to my comments and problems. Eg failure of hot water supply.

You had to approach the entrance to the apartment via a neglected cobbled courtyard beset with weeds and strewn with litter. The furniture in the apartment hadn't been chosen with any thought, love or care. It was either old leftovers or cheap and new. An electrical socket simply fell out of the wall. It hadn't been properly affixed. The curtains didn't keep the bright morning light out. Again no design thought or consideration or love The kitchen had an ancient electric hob. Modern hobs are induction! The hot water supply failed so we awoke to cold water one morning. If I rented out a property it would be important to me that it was great for my guests and that I would be delighted to stay there.
