A perfect place for pure relaxation

What the owners have done with this little hut is amazing. It’s so cosy, clean and well thought out. The large bathroom is an added bonus. The little touches, such as a trolley to get your stuff from the car to the cabin and the hot tub being ready to use, were really appreciated. The location was idyllic, and listening to the river was so restful. We were there to recharge so didn’t venture far but had a fabulous Sunday lunch in a local pub and a trip to a local brewery where the food and drink were faultless. Overall highly recommended

A peaceful escape

Location was quiet and private. Perfect for a getaway. Really comfortable bed. It had everything a couple would need for a break. It was lovely to sit on the terrace listening to the river and the birds. Just across from the river were fields with sheep. There is a hot tub outside but undercover. Would definitely recommend this place for time away from the hustle and bustle of life.

Fantastic couple of nights away.

A perfect retreat to chill for a couple of days. Very peaceful and the hot tub was amazing. Super clean facilities. We Wouk’s highly recommend. Peter and Loraine were very welcoming.

There were no additional towels for the hot tub.

Beautiful and relaxing escape

Beautiful little lodge in a beautiful location. We booked this simply to relax and escape, and it was perfect for that. The position of the bed gave the best view of the river. Peter & Lorain were friendly and helpful when we arrived. the hot tub was ready to go and we were left to it. Would definitely visit again.

Very good

We really liked the location and the cabin and setting. The hosts were really friendly and we enjoyed chatting. It is a lovely setting and calm and quiet, like we needed. When you are coming off the main road it is to the left and down a slight hill to a large mill building and there are some gates there. A good getaway for couples for a few nights and the bed was very comfy too.

Superb

Hosts Peter and Loraine was very welcoming on arrival! Checking In was easy has Peter and Loraine was waiting for us. The location was perfect great scenery and the hot tub was awesome me and my partner enjoyed it very much. Also we was very close to a variety of shops so if we need anything it wasn't hard to get. Best part of the trip was Painting balling and Archery, can't remember the name of the place that we went to to do it but within the cabin they have a booklet that tells you about all the event you can do and its in there. Overall experience was fantastic and me and my Partner highly recommend Riverside Cabin if anyone is looking to book it!

The hot tub bend in the river.

Myself and my partner were met by Peter and his smiling wife Lorain by the entrance to his house. We were then taken down to see the cabin which was a fun and lovely little place. It's on the bend of a small river (which I walked in) with great views to the fields and landscape beyond. It was so peaceful and the hot tub made it a perfect little hide away. We were escaping the city for a few days and that's exactly what happened. It was bliss. Simon & Kira

Countryside peace and tranquility, a much needed chill out

The tranquility of being in the countryside was fantastic after the last 18 months, and working throughout the pandemic. With warm, clear nights we got to sit outside with a glass or two of wine and star gaze, which was all the better for the lack of light pollution that we get in the city. We're both lovers of nature too, and with the river right outside the door, we got to see plenty. The highlight was when a kingfisher landed on the river bank as close as 10 feet in front of us! Apart from collecting and handing back the keys, we saw very little of the owners, though they turned out to be extremely pleasant people!

It was smaller than we expected at first, but it wasn't really an issue, and as there was only the two of us, it became quite cosy. Don't be surprised if you lose mobile phone signal. However, you'll be able to use WiFi calling once you hook up to the provided network.

Riverside Lodge

Friendly hosts. Lovely location. Nice outdoor sitting/eating area. Lovely spacious bathroom.

There was no oven or grill, just a hob. The TV could only be seen while lying on the bed. No storage for clothes, we had to live out of bags which were kept in the bathroom due to a lack of space.

Our first staycation

My husband and I loved everything about the property, so quiet and peaceful, amazing views, and lots of wildlife. Peter was a great host and very helpful, anything we needed he was just a message away, lovely kind hosts. We will defo be staying again sometime in the future. If your looking for a break from all the Hustle and bustle then this is a place for you.

It’s very hard to pick something I disliked about this property, so I would probably say the bed as it’s spring and my bed at home is bamboo memory foam mattress.

Peaceful stay in a beautiful location.

The location was within 30 minute drive of everything we wanted to visit. Host was friendly and made sure everything was okay throughout our stay. Cabin was beautifully furnished. Situated right next to a river with no-one else around us.

Quiet, secluded for a relaxing stay away from the towns and traffic. The bathroom is big and spacious. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Need a feedback form left in the cabin for suggestions, the pin of the location on Google Maps needs changing as it takes you to another cabin the opposite way.
