Not worth the money

Location

Long list! On arrival check in was nothing like what was described..I wasted time but found out from a resident in the block. So no security from outside other than apartment door. Block was open to intruders. The block is for long term residents as well as holiday rental interior Corridor areas all filthy puts you off the whole place. We booked for 4 adults Had only 3 chairs and one childs high chair All chairs need looking at, all wobbly and loose legs and back Wall heater in lounge hanging off wall...needs fixing Fridge was on full but always not very cold Freezer section shelves broken and not cleaned disgusting dirty would not Put any food in it! NO ICECUBE TRAY!....HEATWAVE AND NO ICE FOR DRINKS!!! Steam iron did not work .was sent to another apartment block to get another!...i'm 67...had to go top floor. Bathroom : extractor fan never worked No plug in bathroom sink. Lounge had 2 lights only one bulb What was a smoke detector? In Hallway just bare wires hanging down All these things just annoying and you don't get what you pay for. Feel cheated and not worth the money I want a refund but expect it will be ignored. As is the case with booking.com. Next time Airbnb for me...at least you can speak to someone face to face to sort out problems .

a lot of wear to the apartment. front door was broken to block so anyone could access the building. took photos of wear throughout on arrival; no key available upon access. had to find phone number and call someone.

Very good

Very nice, comfortable apartment, good size and spacious as per description. Well equipped with linen, kitchenware, toiletries etc. Location is good for waterfront, parks, some nice restaurants nearby. I'd score it at least 8.5

Access was a little long winded with all the codes due to main entrance not working properly. Quite a long walk to train station.

A good location to explore the harbour. A Supermarket is close.

The apartment was inside of a run-down, smelly and dirty apartment complex. Access code to the parking garage was not available as stated in the booking confirmation. We had to park the car elsewhere on arrival and got a ticket which was paid by the company renting out the apartment. Cleaner had to be called in to tidy up the apartment as the kitchen was filthy.

It was a terrible experience unfortunately, costing us about a £1000 in total

host tried to be helpful from a distance but property stank of smoke in every room

smoke caused headaches for us all -particularly worried re baby and 5 year old Host enabled us to move to another flat from tues to friday (however no light in bathroom so had to use iphone torch to get any light there...)and promised to only charge for these days however no refund and we had to pay another £400 to complete oyr stay elsewehere. All in all a terrible experience As a hopsital doctor in dire need of a break this didnt help at all

Host provided 2 travel cots and a highchair on our request, which we were so grateful for. Very clean flat. Kitchen well stocked. All great.

Totally overpriced compared to many other places that we have stayed in through Booking.com. WIFI was very poor, tv kept buffering. 2nd bedroom is tiny, no place to hang clothes, hardly big enough ! Bed in 2nd bedroom was very uncomfortable..springs digging into my back. Mould on tiles in bathroom Whole place needs a refurb, particularly the bathroom . Curtains were old and worn. Carpets need cleaning. Codes were given to us the wrong way round so had to call the agent..he was very helpful! No parking pass in apartment, again had to call agent

Disappointed

The living room carpet is very stained and requires cleaning or changing. The turquoise rug felt very sticky. We also had a few bad experiences where we were locked out of the house as the keypad stopped working, someone else parked at our parking space and the hot water tank got cold quickly and we had to wait hours to get hot water again. The area is so noisy during at night as there are so many other residential flats nearby. The street was littered with other peoples rubbish. Not a great place for a young family of 6.
