The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure things were OK. The single bed was very comfortable. The room and ensuite were small but entirely adequate, comfortable and clean with tea/coffee facilities. My evening meal was excellent - gammon.
The carpet on the stairs and landing had dark stains on it and looked tired as though it required a deep clean or replacing.

The Redwell Inn and it really is your typical country inn – a little old-fashioned but full of charm and character, which is exactly what you want from a place like this.
I stayed in Room 1, which was spacious and comfortable, with its own lounge area, TV, and a triple king-size bed. The en-suite was clean and well kept, and although the room overlooks the car park, it was still quiet and very relaxing. Everything was spotless, and there were tea and coffee facilities in the room which was a nice touch.
The staff were absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and clearly doing their best to make sure guests feel at home.
Food was another highlight. They serve home-cooked style meals from 12 noon with last orders at 9pm. In the evening, I had scampi and chips which was really nice, and my daughter had the chicken Parmo which she described as “unreal.”
Breakfast was great too – continental during the week, and a full cooked option at weekends. I opted for the mini breakfast, which was more than enough, with sausage, bacon, black pudding, tomato, beans, mushrooms, egg, and a hash brown, alongside toast, fresh juice, and tea or coffee.
It’s also dog-friendly, which is a big plus, and they offer free parking for motorhomes as long as you’re using the bar or restaurant.
Overall, a lovely little place with a warm atmosphere – I would definitely stay again.
I think the rooms could be a little updated as the decor and furniture is quite dark and outdated , but clean
