Great location centre of Barnard Castle with public parking right outside the door. Perfect for overnight stay, basic room with tea/coffee facilities. Clean bedding and clean toilet and shower. No problem. Good value.
Unfortunately bar was closed when I returned from the function I was attending just after 10 pm but not a big surprise in this day and age being a Monday night, plus I was able to use another pub nearby.

The property is central to the town .
The rooms were ok , very dated with very poor lighting not ideal for getting ready to go out mo wardrobe or hanging in room , and a shared bathroom on the landing with toilets no hand basin in toilet or sanitary bins . Clean bedding and clean towels could not fault but not the most updated property to stay in .
