About this apartment rental

Sailmakers sits on the marina, with a stunning, large south facing terrace, overlooking the many fishing and leisure boats. A real sun trap and perfect for watching the world go by and enjoying alfresco breakfast, lunch and evening dinners. The gate from the terrace opens directly onto the wide walkway around the marina. From here it is just a two minutes walk to Exmouth beach front, a perfect location with endless opportunities for watersports, coastal walking, or just enjoying the fabulous seaside and maritime ambience.
If this is not enough, Sailmakers is a perfect base for exploring other Devonshire coastal towns with Lympstone, Topsham, Budleigh Salterton and Dawlish on your doorstep. The university City of Exeter with its huge variety of shops and cultural attractions is also less than half an hour away by train or car.

Another amazing week in Exmouth with 4 adults and 2 children. This luxury accommodation is in a fantastic position, just 2 minutes from the beach. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. Lovely view of the marina and very quiet. The hosts communicated well and are very helpful. This is our second stay here, and we have already booked for next year. We absolutely love it here.

Another fantastic stay at this beautiful apartment . The position is ideal , looking out on to the marina , a couple of minutes from the beach and a 5 minute walk into town . The apartment is beautifully decorated , and the owners have thought of everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay . A truly outstanding holiday property – we felt it had the best location on Exmouth Marina. Everything was within walking distance: the beach, boats, scenic walks, the South West Coast Path, shops, a park, buses, the train station, and even M&S Food. Ruth was exceptionally friendly, easy to reach, and very helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a great week in Exmouth. We come here every year, and this is the best accommodation we have stayed in. The property is in a fantastic location and equipped with everything you need. It is very modern and clean, with plenty of space for the 6 of us. The host was very accommodating and we were able to check in early on our first day of arrival. I would definitely recommend this property, and we will be back again in the future. Absolutely brilliant.

This was our third stay at Sailmakers apartment in Exmouth and will be booking for next year ! The location is excellent , the apartment beautiful with everything you need . You can tell the owners really care that you have an enjoyable stay. They respond to any queries very quickly and are so lovely in any communication.. We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of room to cook, dine and relax. The apartment and patio overlooks the marina, and as we caught a hot week, we were able to sit on the patio sofas late into the evening, seeing all the lights going on around us. Close to the beach (and ice-creams!). The estuary is beautiful. The rail station is only a short walk away for a trip on the Avocet line up to Topsham or Exeter, or around the coast as far as Paignton and back. (Unless you want the zoo, I wouldnt go as far as Paignton.) I can't in all honesty recomment Mickeys Beach Bar, we were looking forward to it but had poor table service and an inedible whole plaice (forgotten and reheated), they took the plaice and gratuity off the bill without question and so they should, but that didn't stop me leaving hungry and unhappy. You may have a luckier experience. We did like the Rockfish restaurant - book the indoor verandah for a view straight onto the sea. The Grove is a friendly pub for a drink and view from the balcony. Abbotsbury Gardens are definitely worth the drive. Overall, a very good holiday. Thank you.

The property has an ideally located, overlooking the marina with its own private decked garden. We loved how we could walk to the excellent seafront restaurants and pubs as well as a great selection of shops and cafes in the town centre. Also some lovely walking nearby being right on the South West Coastal Path. Great transport links too, with the Avocet Line to Exeter and beyond just a few minutes walk. The apartment is immaculately clean and very well equipped with lots of homely touches. Ruth was very easy to communicate with and responded promptly and informatively to the couple of queries we had. We were a family group, grandparents, parents and baby and the property worked really well for us. A week was all too short to stay, would love to stay longer in the future.

Second time we have stayed here. Its right overlooking marina and handy for walking to beach. Apartment has absolutely everything you could ever need and owners reply straight away if you message them for any reason. Most definitely home from home. We love it!

The property and location is excellent. Large 3 bed two bath luxury home with huge patio looking onto the marina. The pictures do not do the home justice, much larger in person. We absolutely loved this apartment. The owner clearly took great care with little touches such as the White Company products in all rooms, lovely linen and towels, blue tooth speak. The kitchen was really well equipped too. When we had a problem the owner was really helpful and sorted out immediately. There is plenty of seating both inside and out and we had such a good time exploring the area. We wanted to stay longer! The only minor comments I would suggest is maybe slightly bigger towels and a couple more saucepans but no big deal at all. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for a lovely week. A high quality , comfortable and well located apartment right on Exmouth Marina . Well equipped and good quality soft furnishings , bedding and towels Good communication from owner , and we loved the property overall and wouldn’t hesitate to book again Small points but meant as constructive feedback and as this a premium priced property to give it 5* , it would need a couple of small tweaks , eg TV in master bedroom , en-suite bathroom upgrade and black out curtains in bedrooms . These are minor in the overall holiday experience though .

We loved the apartment , it is beautifully decorated , well equipped and in a great location . The apartment has fantastic views of the marina which you are able to enjoy from the terrace , a great place to sit and watch the world go by . The hosts were very responsive to any queries and provided excellent information ahead of and during our stay. They appear to have thought of everything to ensure you get the best experience ! The apartment is spacious and was ideal for our visit. Nice walks from your door around the marina and onto the Esplanade. Near to town centre for shops and just 10 minutes from a Tesco superstore. Seems it may have been built in the 90s but has a very modern feel to it. We could live there! It was very quiet overnight. The only slight downside is parking is a little tight into a car port but we have a Mini Countryman and managed to park it ok, just takes a little getting used too. Overall 10/10. Hope to be back in the future.

Cannot fault the location of the spartment, beautiful outside space with outstanding view, sheltered and a real joy to spend time there. Peaceful, friendly and relaxing. The bedrooms were a good size and the bedding was excellent. The communal areas of kitchen, dining area and living room all look towards the marina and are very conducive to sharing time with your household. Whoever is preparing meals can still join in conversation and fun without being separated from the group. The location is one minutes walk from the beach. There is covered parking. I was happy that recycling was enabled. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Loved it.
