It was an excellent choice. The location is great, very close to Mt. Fuji Station (1-2 min away) - it's a great choice, especially if you are going to Kawaguchiko by bus from Tokyo Shinjuku bus station. Right next to the station, there is a bicycle rental, which we used to get around Kawaguchiko Lake. The Chureito Pagoda is about a 30/40-minute walk away, and we went there early in the morning to admire a beautiful sunrise with Mount Fuji - absolutely worth it. The accommodation itself is beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained, with a truly authentic Japanese atmosphere. Entry to the house is via a code, and while the check-in procedure is a bit detailed, it was not a problem at all. The host made sure every guest had slippers and indoor shoes, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was very well equipped, the traditional Japanese interior was lovely, and the futons were very comfortable. On a cooler evening, we used the air conditioning for heating. Communication with the host via Booking was smooth and easy throughout our stay. If you are looking for a place to experience life in a traditional Japanese house, you will be very satisfied. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Thank you!
