About this house rental
The renovation is complete and The Fig Tree is available again for rent! Less than 100 yards from the beach. Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the The Fig Tree is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern Beach style. We have taken great care to keep the character and charm where possible, while modernizing the kitchen, bathrooms, and decor. Perfect for groups!
The house is a charming vacation rental with six bedrooms, each with a private bath. There is a lovely living room and a wonderful "breakfast" porch where you may enjoy meals with your entire group.
Many special occasions have been celebrated at this home. Families and friends can rent the entire house for reunions, vacations or special celebrations. For larger groups and parties, we offer an event space called The Fig Room, caddy corner to this property. We gladly offer discounts if you book both places!
Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash provided. Wrap yourself in lush bath towels and bed linens after a day at the beach or out playing golf. Roku TVs in every bedroom.
Primary access is keyless entry. Door code provided the day of check-in.
Private parking available behind the property. Free public parking available directly in front of the building.
We live in Jacksonville Beach ourselves, so give us a shout if you need anything at all. We generally respond within 30 min between 8am - 9pm.
This is an amazing area of Jacksonville Beach where you will find many restaurants, cafes, and shopping areas within walking distance. The property is less than 100 yards from the beach so that is the best feature. We love having the option of walking to local eats or hitting up established healthy chains. The Neptune Beach Towne Center is less than 10 min drive and with its own set of food, shopping, and nightlife.

Take Uber and Lyft if you don't feel like driving yourself. Most people drive their own vehicles around here, though.

The fig tree inn was great for our family group. Each room has its own bath and that was a huge help. The host was very helpful and responsive. It is very close to the beach and that was so nice.

My college friends and I get together every year and each year we pick a "host" so this year it was me...which means I picked out the location and the house and then we all split the cost based on mutual trust. Well, this house is definitely not at all what I thought it would be: there were lots of nasty places all over the house - old furniture, gross bandaids under beds, no place for a nice meal or even breakfast that had any air conditioning. The great news here is that I was vocal about all of this as soon as I checked in and I sent over photos. The owner of the property came to see and agreed with us regarding the details I had mentioned. She was wonderful in working with us: she gave us the capacity to use her event space because one of our activities is practicing yoga together since one of us is a yoga teacher. She also let us borrow table cloths and a fan for the outside seating so we could create a nice ambience for our breakfasts and one dinner. That worked out great. The owner also told us that she was committed to upgrading and cleaning up the property to her standards - apparently they own several properties and she hadn't been in this one in a long time. So all this to say that if they have upgraded what is needed then this house is fantastic. I appreciated how responsive the property management and the owner was in this scenario. My girlfriends and I had a great time. Ultimately we didn't spend a ton of time in the house but when we were there we enjoyed

Nice location and having so many rooms and bathrooms worked well for the family. Needs a deep cleaning. Downstair’s bathroom door handle kept coming off and I got locked in. Had to call family from the beach to get me out. Doors were maligned. Needs to be fixed up. Seems unloved.
