The Loft - Remarkable 2-Bed Anstruther Apartment

The apartment is very clean, comfortable and well decorated. It is well equipped and the luxury toiletries supplied were a big hit - the water pressure for the shower was also perfect! The location is brilliant for access to the main amenities of Anstruther. I would definitely highly recommend.

The Loft is perfectly situated in the middle of Anstruther. It’s furnished like a home rather than a holiday home so you immediately feel comfy. The use of all the Velux windows means it’s beautifully light and airy and because you can open many of them (some are a bit high up and would require a ladder!) there’s fresh air and a beautiful breeze. Electric blinds on the bedroom velux windows mean you can still get a good night’s sleep. The kitchen is well stocked for self catering but you need to bring all your own food. There are no condiments or tea and coffee like you might find in other properties. There is a handy coop just up the road though and you’re right int he middle of the town so well served with cafes and fish and chip shops. Comfy beds. Good water pressure for the shower. Plenty of hot water too. Loads of space for clothes and bags and stuff. We were able to park our car in the street outside the flat each day but it was quite busy.

Not really anything to not like but: The stairs up from the ground floor are quite steep and the hand rail wasn’t so easy to actually grip for my mum as you can’t wrap your hand around it because of its design. It would have been handy to have two keys as the front door didn’t shut unless it was locked so you couldn’t pop out to the shop without locking everyone else in or having people run up and down the stairs to let you out/in. A mechanism to open the very tall velux windows would be handy. Motor or a long stick!

Charming apartment in the centre of Anstruther, beautifully decorated, has everything you’d need and more. Very comfortable beds. Quiet at night. We got parking outside each night, but sometimes had to use the long stay car park by day - free and 5 mins walk away behind co-op. It was very sunny while we were there but bedrooms stayed cool.
