A beautiful property in a perfect location - absolutely loved having a few days away from it all. Spotlessly clean, had everything you could need and was just an all round great place to stay - proximity to the main street in Anstruther was such a bonus

Cosy and relaxing stay in Cellardyke in a gorgeous cottage!

The cottage was lovely, exceptionally clean, cosy and comfortable. Getting the keys was straightforward and we found everything we needed inside, with everything that beautiful Cellardyke and Anstruther have to offer on the doorstep. We also enjoyed the board games! We'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely quirky interior over different levels, very clean with everything you want from fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom with excellent over the bath shower, ample sized rooms to games etc.

Some noise later on at night from staircase and occupants above.. was only for a short time.

Lovely house in historic area with sea breezes

Very spacious house in an area called Cellardyke about a five minute walk from restaurants and the pier and boats in Anstruther. Beds were comfortable, pillows were perfect, shower strong, street parking was easy to find. Very close to the water, a quiet location.

We didn’t stay longer. We liked the Fife region and if we return would come back for a longer time. We thought this was an excellent base. Buses running an hour at minimum so you could get to neighboring villages.

Location was fabulous, lovely wee street. Only a few minutes walk to Anstruther front. Beautifully decorated and very clean, I really wish we had booked for longer.

One of the double beds we're a bit uncomfortable and gave my relative a sore back. Please change the fridge freezer door to open from the right side. The bath is slippy when getting out, it needs a non slip mat, also, if you have any mobility issues or are even a bit stiff the bath is quite hard to get in and out of. A wee non slip step would be useful. Apart from that there wasn't really much to fault and we would recommend staying here.

A few internal steps needed to be highlighted with a strip so they were more easily identified. My husband tripped a couple of times. Fortunately he didn’t injure himself.

Great coastal break!

The listing is seriously underselling Coastal Cottage! It is a beautiful cottage finished to a high standard with absolutely everything you could need. There is plenty of room for a family (with or without dogs). Cellardyke is a beautiful little village and the cottage is only 5 mins walk from Anstruther harbour. We hope to visit again.

We managed parking without issue but I can see it could be tricky in high season / weekends.

Family summer trip.

Gorgeous house and smelt the cleanliness as soon as we walked in. Bed was very comfy, and the house was cosy when we walked in but with the good weather, we turned it off during the day. Great location too, it's one street back from the front and a 2 minute walk along to where the restaurant and bars are. Only 15/20 minutes to St Andrew's as well.

There was everything well thought through. We didn't miss anything. We managed to park both days infront of the house which was great. There was a nicely functioning heating and the kitchen was equipped for our needs. Also the village had an excellent fish and chips place just a few minutes walk away.

Well maintained house with plenty of room.

The house was well maintained and clean, comfortable amd warm. There were washing and dishwashing facilities and tablets supplied which was helpful. There was plenty of room and was within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There was no parking provided (just whatever you could find on surrounding streets).

Fantastically located and really well kitted out cottage. The place was cosy and homely and had everything you need. Great shower, comfy beds and everything you needed in the kitchen.

There weren't any instructions for the other tv remote control and asking the host didn't get a response. This was the only thing though, everything else was great.

Cosy quirkiness of the place. Bright and classy decor, spotless and well equipped. Loved the window seat in the hall I used for reading. Most of all the warmth and comfort coming in from the extreme cold, very welcoming.

Very comfortable stylish property in a great area. Loved our stay!

The property was excellent. Much bigger than it looked on-line and was very comfortable. Very large sitting room, spacious kitchen and two large bedrooms. The lay out was a little quirky (the kitchen was far away from the sitting room, down some stairs), but worked fine for us. The property had everything needed for our stay - nice towels, bath gels etc and everything needed in the kitchen. Can't fault it! Location is also perfect - one row away from the sea and in the lovely Cellardyke part of Anstruther, just minutes from the port.

The only thing missing was some coat hooks!

The location in an old fishing village was lovely. Just a stones throw from the beach. Also very close to the shops, restaurants etc

Parking can be tricky. However, you are made aware of that at the time of booking, so not something to moan about after the stay. We were lucky & managed to get parked close by, each time we arrived back at Coastal Cottage

28-30th January, 2023 - The house was spotless. The owner had obviously spent quite a lot on the fittings / decor. The kitchen was very well appointed with every type of utensil etc. Alan responded very quickly to emails. Lovely spot for us and the dog.

Clocks needed new batteries. That was all!!!
