The View from the main window
The parking was such a huge incline that the vehicles would slide, as you were trying to back in and peel out as you were trying to ascend. There was not ample parking based on the description provided. The house was dirty, doors, windows, walls, kitchen appliances, and cutlery. The chairs were broken in the kitchen, Britta water filter was broken. The house smelled terrible. Very strong odor of animal urine, yet the owner requested that we not wear shoes in the home. I would not walk on that carpet with bare feet. No curtains in areas where sleeping accommodations were present. No fire pit as advertised. No ability to access the external area of the property due to overgrowth of vegetation.

Unsafe driveway and lack of upkeep on game room and appliances
I liked the setup on the different floors so multiple families had their own areas to gather. One of the reasons I booked it was for the game room. Lot's of floor space. The views from the house were awesome.
Due to negligent maintenance, there were rocks all over in the driveway from the road, and because the driveway is so steep, one of our cars slid on the rocks into another parked car as it was backing down the driveway. This happened right when we arrived at 3:30 pm. We were unable to drive it out, so we had to call a tow truck. Because of the narrow, gravel road the house is on, there weren't any available tow trucks in the area that could get the job done. A tow truck was not available until the next day at around 4 pm. It was difficult to unload our stuff as the cars were rear-end to rear-end. Luckily, the back seats folded down so we were able to get our stuff. I alerted Vacasa of this issue, and they had us park in a nearby hotel parking lot. The housekeeper was still there when all this happened and said she doesn't park in the driveway due to this issue. She parks at the hotel. It was even unsafe to walk up and down the driveway because we kept slipping and sliding on the rocks. One of the Vacasa employees came by later due to some other issues, and one of my guests requested a push broom so we could sweep the driveway. He did bring a broom, but I feel the employee should have been the one sweeping the driveway and not us. After that, it was better, but it was still very difficult to get out of the driveway because once you got to the top where the gravel road is, the tires would spin and had a hard time getting traction. I wouldn't recommend using the driveway. In fact, we didn't use it at all after we first arrived. We parked at the top of it when we loaded up to leave. Unfortunately, the hatchbacks on the 2 cars involved in the driveway accident will not open, so loading them was also an issue.
The upstairs refrigerator didn't cool down adequately, so we kept having to run up and down the stairs to the other refrigerator to get our food, which was really inconvenient. The ice maker wasn't working either when we first arrived.

Perfect location and great gathering areas as well as plenty of room to spread out when we wanted some down time.
The parking is definitely a concern….very very steep driveway with trickiness parking three cars. I know there’s not really anything you can do regarding the steepness of the driveway. I would just take that into consideration with nervous drivers or unsteady walkers.

all in all, it was lovely- especially for a stay in the heart of Lincoln City. it seems like it’s in a busy section of
beautiful view, close to beach, great game space for family to play pool, etc in rainy days! comfortable beds. and great that it will allow a dog!
the carpet on two floors wasn’t all that clean. there was debris left over from previous stay that I needed to clean up. also this is not an accessible property. this would be a tough house for someone with limited mobility or in a wheelchair.
