It was very charming and unique. The owners were very attentive and cared about every aspect of our stay. It was very nicely decorated.

Stylish, comfortable and great service.

Beautiful garden and old world charm to the property. Small town but a good recommendation to eat at a nearby beer garden with excellent food. The hotel was a little off the beaten track as we were cycling but a real delight and well worth a visit.

Great stay

Great location, shower was amazing due to the high water pressure!

The wifi was not good. For example, not even the tv’s in the rooms were able to connect to the wifi, which prevented streaming.

A real gem – highly recommended if you're passing through!

The room and the overall structure are absolutely beautiful. The neighborhood is very quiet, and there are reserved parking spots for the hotel just a 3-minute walk away. What we loved the most was the small garden outside – it's incredibly peaceful and beautiful. You can also buy bottles of wine and other drinks at very low prices and enjoy them wherever you like. The room was stunning and felt like something out of a fairytale. A real gem – highly recommended if you're passing through!

Make sure to spend time on the premises instead of just using it for sleeping

the utterly charming rooms, the excellent breakfast, the thoughtfulness you encounter wherever you go on the premises , the solution oriented approach of offering a quieter room as I could barely sleep the first night - and this second one was a fabulous experience in every sense, the gorgeous bath tubs 🥰

Due to road works a huge load of cars used the road just outside the property as a detour instead of the official route, so it was noisy the first night. But road works should finish the next couple of days…

Just beautiful, romantic, and a great place to stay for the night

This Hotel is Beautiful, the environment and feel one gets when being here is wonderful, like stepping back in time, but with the modern facilities. The owners are kind, and the breakfast is magnificent. I truly felt at home here in this , traditional "fachwerk" hause with its beautiful room which one reaches after passing a special balcony.

Very little , and the small things that were less pleasant were absolutely miniscule versus the beautiful environment.

A perfect retreat from hectic life

The ambiance was stunning. Everything in the hotel radiated romance. It almost felt like a step back in time, I regretted not having brought a dress. The breakfast was French and delicious. There was enough to eat to keep us satisfied till dinner. The owners were also very forthcoming when we asked for nice destinations in short distance. There's no AC in the room, but at least you can chose for yourself if you want heat or not. The bed was very comfortable, a nice change from our previous hotel. The room was cleaned every day and the bed was made while we were on excursion. It felt very welcoming! All in all, we will be coming back.

The mirror in the bathroom hung to low for us and the shower was too small for two persons.

Charming property that was a delight to experience.

Owners have done an exceptional job in developing a unique boutique lodging experience that oozes charm. For a 300 year old building, it was very comfortable, well maintained and beautifully decorated. Arne, his wife and other staff were very personal and engaging to talk to (even in English). Excellent value, and would definitely recommend to other travelers. Good experience.

Breakfast, while good, was a little behind other (albeit much larger) properties. Selection was somewhat limited but tasty. No parking for car on site but free a short block away.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to feel at home there.

The property has a lot of interesting details with references to the shipping trade along the nearby Rhine. It felt very homely and comfortable, the garden well kept secluded. We were allowed to keep our bikes securely in the courtyard, which was very useful.

Can't think of anything that would have improved our stay!

Everything styled as ancient hotel, great decor, pretty village not far from Baden-Baden

wash-basin is old English, which has two separate sources - hot and cold, need to fill to wash hands

Very clean. Great large beds. Fantastic and charming rooms, which are all different but all with very nice decor. Very charming garden and restaurants closeby. A perfect, little getaway… We have been there 4 times and we keep coming back… 👍👍👍

Exceptional!

A lovely , charming hotel with beautifull stylish and spacious rooms. The entire property is trully a gem , so well kept that it gives you the feeling that you stepped back in time. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Very close to the airport and the nearby cities.We, as a travelling group, enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

It is indeed hotel des charmes ! very cozy and very stylish with lovely little garden

nothing to dislike , but as a suggestion : put a curtain on a second window in the bathroom and make a bigger sign(( also in english) at the entrance door

Easy to find. The room was spacious and clean.

The parking wasn't great, they have a private car park but you have to move your car by 9am. There is free parking on the public street though.
