Near salzburgring

Hotel was absolutely amazing, the view 5*. Restaurant and the staffs are really helpfull , the place was clean.

Unfortunately the event drop the room prices almost 6-7x , it was a little bit high. For me important was the location ,because i worked at Salzburgring on the weekend. Booking give me 3kms distance, but the real life was 6-7kms without car with massive hill climb.. This is not the Hotel issue,but if you hiking or do something like that , this is really nice location with car.

Everything was amazing! The hotel is located in a beautiful area, and the view from the balconies is absolutely stunning. The rooms were spotless and spacious enough for the three of us. It’s a family-run hotel, managed by kind and very helpful people. Breakfast was wonderful, and I also highly recommend having dinner at the restaurant—it was a great experience.

There was nothing we truly disliked. Just a couple of things to keep in mind: the internet connection was weak, though it wasn’t important for us. Also, if you’re without a car, it can take around an hour to reach Salzburg city center by public transport—but that wasn’t a problem for us either.

I had a relaxing and peaceful stay at Hotel-Restaurant am Hochfuchs. The room was very clean and well-organized, which made me feel comfortable right away. However, the room did not have a refrigerator, which was a bit inconvenient. I had some medication—specifically eye drops used for treating eye pressure—that needed to be stored in a cool place. Since the weather was cold, I had to keep them on the balcony to maintain the right temperature. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. The location and the view were truly unbeatable—absolutely perfect and breathtaking. The surrounding environment was calm, ideal for rest and relaxation. It’s the perfect place to unwind and disconnect from daily stress. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and beautiful scenery. Just a small addition like a mini-fridge in the room would make the experience even better.

Hotel Room Review – Hotel-Restaurant am Hochfuchs I recently stayed at Hotel-Restaurant am Hochfuchs, and while the room itself was clean, organized, and comfortable, there were a few very important issues that affected my overall experience. To start with the positives: The room was spotless and well-kept. Although there was no fridge—which I needed to store eye drops for glaucoma treatment—I managed to place them outside on the balcony due to the cold weather. The hotel’s location and view were absolutely stunning—truly breathtaking, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. The overall environment was serene, ideal for a restful stay. However, the main issue I faced was getting to the hotel. There were no signs or clear directions, and I had a very difficult time finding the place. I ended up walking nearly two hours from the bus station, in the dark, with no landmarks to guide me. This was especially stressful for me as a woman traveling alone in an unfamiliar and poorly lit area. I also tried to call the hotel for help, but couldn’t reach the correct number. I even sent an email explaining that I was lost and unable to find the property—but I received no response. This lack of support and communication made the situation very upsetting and unsafe. In summary, while the hotel itself is beautiful and the room was pleasant, the lack of accessibility, signage, and support in a difficult situation significantly impacted my experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, especially for the safety and comfort of solo travelers.

Hidden gem outside of Salzburg

Hidden gem of a hotel outside of Salzburg. Perfect if going to Salzburg Ring. Clean room, gorgeous views, massive TV in room. Breakfast was excellent, but highly recommend staying for dinner as well.

Our family had a memorable and fun-filled holiday.

This property was one of the best in which we have stayed. The location of this hotel was simply superb with view of mountains on one side & valley on the other side. Our check-in process was smooth and our room was very spacious with a balcony which had a view of mountains/hill. We ordered dinner from the restaurant on the day of arrival, the food served in the restaurant were simply very delicious. Breakfast were also good with several option and we were also served fresh coffee and scrambled/golden eggs upon request. There is also a children play area outside the hotel where my kids played everyday after breakfast. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the beautiful & peaceful location and it makes a perfect unwinding stay from the noisy city life.

I would recommend the hotel to provide kettle and tea/coffee so that we can enjoy tea/coffee in our room along with enjoying the beautiful hill view from balcony.

The hotel was in a picturesque location, perfect for exploring mountains and lakes outside Salzburg. Our family room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast selection was really good. We totally enjoyed our stay in the hotel and would love to come back again.

Beautiful pittoresque family hotel on the outskirts of Salzburg

Positioned in the hills just outside of Salzburg, hotel has a with beautiful view of the valley around. Surrounded by pastures that once were ski slopes offers nice and quiet place to relax and enjoy with your family. Just over the restaurant terrace there is a small children's playground and nearby is a farm with horses, chickens and ducks so your little ones can feel countryside spirit. Hotel has a nice restaurant with excellent home made food. Everything of the menu has local flavor and is tasty. We spend a night in standard room with nice balcony that looks over the whole valley below. Room facilities were clean and in excellent condition. Beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and we had a really warm welcome to the hotel.

This is such a surprising hotel. It is located at the top of a hill, and our room was located at the back, overlooking such a beautiful view. It's possible to see for miles. We had a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom, with a great shower. We had dinner, oh wow, what a dinner. The chef is absolutely fantastic. We had a simple celeriac soup, and the flavour was just wonderful. A pumpkin risotto, and the taste was just brilliant. I asked him how he cooks like that, and he simply said -"It's a feeling". The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. Great breakfast.

The atmosphere is great, everything was super clean, all facilities are in place. Hotel has a wonderful view on mountains and on a valley. We also liked the breakfast which was delicious, and the food offer was various. Everyone was nice and friendly. We recommend this place for sure :)

This was one of our favorite discoveries in Austria. The hostess was remarkable and very helpful for us non German speakers. She helped us navigate the area and made adjustments for us as needed. This is in a beautiful hilltop/rural location with lots of nice walking just outside the door. We did some driving trips from there also. Only 15 minutes to good Downton Salzburg parking. Directions provided by our hostess. Some of the best food of our trip. Wonderful breakfast and very fun restaurant with lots of delicious meal options.

We will stay at the hotel when my lovely daughter visit Europe during her winter vacation.

All staff were friendly and well organized for what we wanted to have. Location may be debatable depends on the traveler(s) because its location is a little bit countryside, but it provides us more relax and chance to enjoy the tranquil time while we were there, and the location was not a problem to us since we were driving to there. Another advance was all people including the guests were amicable to the Korean people. Dinner with local red wine and a beautiful view down the hill was another unforgettable memory to me. Breakfast was also very nice

Small problem.... A beverage vending machine was in front of our room which shed structural-bone-noise to our room whenever it operates refrigerant compressor. But, it was not a big deal, because we couldn't recognize it during the sleeping. The owner might want to improve it for a sensitive person like me, by adding an antivibration pad on the legs of the vending machine...
