Very comfortable bed and good coffee available in the room

Location is not the best for someone looking to have an easy access to Strasbourg center. Extremely strict on the check-out hour at 11am. Was bothered once in the morning while I was in a meeting (it was around 10am) and at 11am already had someone knocking at my door and a phone call in the following minutes to ask that I leave the room.

The smell in the room was not fresh,the carpet looked dirty and smelly, The price for such a room is overpriced! In Paris I have twice better service for half price

The hotel was very close to the tram stop, yet it was quiet, the bed was comfortable. The receptionist was helpful and preordered a taxi for us.

The room was rather cold, the carpet had stains - both in the room and corridors, no wardrobe to arrange clothes. The breakfast was okay but didn’t offer a variety of fresh veggies. The restaurant was disappointing - the waiter ignored us for most of the time and the wait was really long. I wouldn’t stay at the hotel again.

We didn't like the location of the WC. It was at the first level. There wasn't any fridge inside.

The staff were very friendly, the bed super comfortable and the room had everything we needed for one nights stay. We planned to eat at the hotel restaurant, but we found out on arrival that it was closed at the weekends. However, we had pizza in the Italian restaurant across the road and it was the best pizza we have ever eaten!! The only downside to our stay was that the price of the breakfast isn’t shown anywhere, so we didn’t have it. Also, upon check in we were made to believe that we were all paid up, but then we checked out we were charged tax, that were weren’t aware of.

Location: Hotel is located next to a tram stop, there are several cafes around, a supermarket and a park with a small zoo within walking distance. The room could have benefited from a little renovation, but it was clean enough. Although we found someone's socks in the closet. Booking's customer support team was very polite, patient and helpful in communication with the hotel.

In the morning, day before the trip, unfortunately, we fell ill, so we decided to call the hotel and ask if there was a possibility to cancel the reservation, perhaps with a partial refund given that the free cancellation period had ended at midnight. We hoped for a quick and clear response, either "yes," with an explanation of the conditions, or "no, there is no such possibility", after which we wouldn't have had any further questions. Instead, we spent 2 days on the phone. Initially, front desk replied that "they don't manage orders made through Booking.com (B.)”, and suggested booking directly in the future, then later that "only manager had the authority to address the request" when they received an email from B. But when we asked whether we could speak to manager, we encountered some conflicting information. At first, we were told she was not present on-site at the moment, then that she would be available in the morning the next day, then she would be at 14:30 and so on, till “she's not here and will not be - it's her day off". After that - unanswered calls and even hang-ups from the hotel side. In an attempt to find a resolution, B. consultants sent to the hotel emails and suggested possible options for cancellation or modification, but regrettably, these messages went unanswered. Finally, with the help of B. customer support, we received the clear answer that the hotel staff could have provided when we first called. So we decided to proceed with the trip nevertheless. Unfortunately, due to the delayed response from hotel, we missed our train, losing a day of our planned stay. Efforts to reschedule check-in time were also met with unexpected communication problems, and we were only successful in making the change with the assistance from B.
