Belle Epoque Luzern

We enjoyed the character of this old apartment combined with comfortable furnishings . Lovely view of Pilatus and convenient location .Quiet at night and very clean .

Would have been easier if it had a walk in shower not just the bathtub with shower attachment .Some more mugs and maybe a microwave or dishwasher as plenty of kitchen space .

Charming apartment, spacious and with real character in decor and furnishing. Great location. Very well structured engagement from the host giving exact instructions for entry, location etc. Great feeling to the place !

We found the mattress a little soft for our taste, but that is a matter of personal preference and we appreciated the quality, well laundered linen. Otherwise, we felt very much at home there !

Excellent location right next to the train station, had a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake, great interior design, clean and spacious apartment, included an Nespresso machine, had a bath tub, big TV.

Creaky floors

1) Partial view of lake (blocked by a small building in front) full view of mountains. 2) Walking distance to major attractions, cafes and supermarkets. 3) Spacious rooms with high ceiling, little balcony.

1) kitchen very basic, no chopping board, scissors, microwave, limited cooking stuff. 2) Bath tub is useless, shower curtain had to be inside tub so water will not spray out and wet the floor, so you get trapped in a small circular wall of curtain,. Shower head is partly ceramic so it’s heavy and slippery, it fell from my hand and hurt my toes. Shower taps are not mixer kind, have to keep adjusting till you get right temperature, then have to let it keep running but drainage flow too slow, tub got flooded. No bracket on wall to hold the shower head while showering. Toilet sink has 2 separate taps for hot and cold, so you either get scalding water or icy water. No rack/shelf at bath tub for toiletries. More than one towel bar will be useful, or extra racks/hooks for clothes. 3) Church bell chimes every hour from 4am to 12 midnight, and in between too, and noise from street and restaurants, but we had to keep windows open, otherwise it’s stuffy. 4) Lift starts only from level one, so had to lug heavy luggage over 2 flights of stairs from ground to level one, then take lift to level 2.
