About this apartment rental
Next to Santa Ana Square, Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía and Canalejas Square, in the heart of the tourist centre. Ideal for getting to know the city and enjoying fantastic walks to the Prado Museum and the Literary Quarter, going for tapas in La Latina or enjoying a Sunday on a typical Madrid terrace.
Located on a street with great charm, with all kinds of services around it for a pleasant stay.
The apartment:
Located in a typical renovated Madrid building. A spacious 120 m2 apartment built and decorated with the best finishes, good insulating windows, quality wooden floors and every detail in furniture: rugs, curtains and classic style paintings, all in perfect condition.
It is located on a first floor which requires walking up even though the building has a lift. With a security camera in the entrance hall, the apartment is equipped with air conditioning and central heating in all rooms, cable television, Internet, dishwasher, washer-dryer and everything necessary for an unbeatable stay.
With capacity for 4 people, this great apartment has 2 excellent and very cosy bedrooms. In one of them there are two single beds arranged in a trundle bed and therefore together, and in the other a queen-size double bed. In both, plenty of wardrobe space to place clothes. Both decorated with mahogany wooden furniture and maritime motifs. Very beautiful. The living room has a sofa, a chat area with TV and dining area.
The bathrooms are fantastic, renovated with marble, one with a shower and another en-suite in the main bedroom, with a bathtub. The kitchen is super spacious and comfortable and is phenomenally equipped. The apartment has a terrace overlooking a large interior courtyard (about 20 m2) which has been fitted with awnings, tables and chairs for use. An addition that makes this apartment the perfect choice.
This apartment does not have private parking. However, you will find a public car park within approximately 100 metres of the apartment.
The cot is subject to availability. Please advise a maximum of 5 days in advance.

IMPORTANT: This apartment is only offered for seasonal rentals, in accordance with Article 3 of the Urban Leases Act (LAU). Clients will sign a seasonal lease agreement upon arrival.
The online check-in is mandatory in accordance with current regulations and must be carried out through the MitHouse app/webapp. During this process, the MRZ band of each guest's identity document will be read to extract the data required by the authorities. It will be essential to have a mobile device and internet on the phone to access the apartment.
For stays exceeding 28 days, a deposit of €1,000 will be requested, which is refundable at the end of the stay if no damage is caused to the accommodation.
Respect: For the purpose of good coexistence and respect for neighbours and residents, this apartment may be equipped with a 24-hour noise monitoring system. Guests are obliged to comply with the established rest hours at all times.

Access to the apartment: this apartment is located within the Area called MADRID CENTRAL with restricted access to road traffic. Please note that, to access the apartment by private vehicle, you must have the corresponding approval from the Municipal Traffic Directorate (DGT). Otherwise, you can only access the apartment on foot, or by public transport, taxi or VTC. Mit House is not responsible for any municipal fine in this regard

very minimal and bare amenities. Could use an extra roll of paper towels and toilet tissue.What about a couple extra towels. Would not rent again

The apartment is centrally located and easy to find. I was concerned about the keyless entry, but after fumbling around a bit, it was fine. Operator error issues! We put the MIT app on two phones just in case there were Internet issues, but there weren’t. The queen bedroom was spacious, but the other bedroom with twin beds is quite small. If you go as two couples you need to be aware of this. I always find it odd that washcloths aren’t universally used in Europe and that is the case here. They leave the bare requirements for your stay. We needed to get extra toilet paper. The apartment bathrooms also need a thorough cleaning. MIT responded quickly, but I’m not sure they read my emails thoroughly because I had to email them more than a few times to get the assistance I needed. All in all it was fine, just be aware of the very small second bedroom.

Great location, easy walking distance to both Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor for great people-watching, good restaurants, and just general enjoyment. LOTS of space in apartment. First floor location was appreciated. Very easy entry with app. Overall very enjoyable. Kids recommend a larger TV screen for midday relaxation away from city exploring (and a smart TV with possible apps), but I never think those things matter the most.
We loved Madrid and expect to be back!!

No heat or hot water the first night. Issues with communicating with the property manager to fix the problem.
Check in process was a bit cumbersome.
Could have used a roll of paper towels, soap, toilet paper etc. Had to buy them ourselves.
Wouldn't go back.
