My house is located about 2.4 km from the Old Town, in the Borik summer cottage district, right by the sea on the Monsena Peninsula. It is surrounded by an old pine forest that stretches all the way to the beach. The name Borik means “pine forest,” and the entire peninsula is a nature reserve. Thanks to this microclimate, we breathe in fresh, salty sea air mixed with the essential oils of the pine trees. As early as 1888, the “Maria Theresa of Austria” climatic and seaside resort was built right next to our neighborhood.
My house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac—away from mass tourism, yet just a 5-minute walk along a shaded forest path to a pebble beach with easy access to the sea for children, a playground, a beach café, and a small restaurant offering a magnificent view of the old town and two green islets.
After a gentle 10-minute walk, you can reach the morning market and fruit vendors, then enjoy breakfast on your private south-facing terrace. The kilometer-long seaside promenade (20 minutes to the center) and easy hiking and biking trails starting right from the house lead past idyllic coves, through forests, and across vineyards.
All apartments overlook a lush park. Panoramic windows and large south-facing terraces bring nature right to you. Enjoy a stress-free vacation here—the sunset, a star-studded summer night...

Insgesamt alles sehr gut. An der ein oder anderen Stelle könnte vielleicht die Möblierung modernisiert werden. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sauber. Auch mit der mini Küchenzeile kommt man gut zurecht, wenn man den Esstisch als Arbeitsfläche mitbenutzt. Den Preis zahlt man nicht für eine gehobene Ausstattung der Ferienwohnung (da haben wir für fast die Hälfte schon besseres und schöneres gehabt), sondern für die Lage in Rovinj. Das Ferienhauswohngebiet liegt unserer Ansicht nach an einem der schönsten und gepflegtesten Strände Rovins - ohne Reihen von Mietliegestühlen, die wir nicht so mögen. Außerdem kann man mit dem Fahrrad an der Küste entlang entweder nach Rovinj Zentrum oder an weitere, etwas abgelegenere Strände fahren. Das haben wir sehr genossen. Wer aber die Ruhe sucht, sollte sich lieber eine andere Stadt Istriens aussuchen. Rovinj ist wegen seiner Schönheit ein echtes Turizentrum geworden und überflutet von Salsatänzern, was wir schon fast lustig fanden.
