Excellent location right opposite the train station and within walking distance to the city centre. The room was spacious and bright. Very good sound insulation - surprisingly quiet despite being directly across from the station. Comfortable with plenty of chairs and armchairs. Nice bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower. Coffee machine and kettle provided in the room.

The pillows were too soft for our taste. The view from the room is directly onto the train station, which lacks charm. There was a bit of dust in the room and the cleaning could be improved.

I've stayed at the Leonardo in Nuremberg several times over the years. Always very clean and comfortable, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. And, of course, the perfect location, close to the train station and the old city. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, beautiful courtyard and nice room facilities, especially love the little desk inside my room. I am a writer who enjoy staycation while working on my writings.

This was not my first stay at this hotel. I usually stay here three to four times per year, so I am familiar with their normal procedures. When booking through Booking.com, the hotel typically places a hold for the full amount on my bank account 24 hours before the stay, which is then charged once I check in. This has always worked smoothly in the past. During this stay, the front desk staff did not ask for my card at check-in. However, at check-out, another staff member told me that the previously held amount had been “released” and that the same amount was charged again. When I checked my banking app immediately in front of him, there was no released amount shown. Instead, I could clearly see that I had been charged twice. Effectively, a three-night stay resulted in payment equivalent to six nights. Unfortunately, the situation was made more stressful by the staff member’s attitude. When I explained that my train was departing in five minutes, his response was simply “you haven’t paid,” which felt inappropriate given that the full amount had already been held before my stay. As a result, I missed my intercity train, and at the time of writing, the originally held amount has still not been returned to my account. In addition, I did not receive any official receipt or invoice at check-out, only a “Beleg” from the card terminal. I have stayed at this hotel many times without issues, but this experience was disappointing. If you plan to stay at Leonardo Hotel Nürnberg, I would recommend ensuring sufficient funds are available or using a credit card, as duplicate charges may take time to be reversed.
