Heather Cottage was clean, comfortable and full of character, it had everything you could need and more, even in this heatwave we were provided with tower fans in each bedroom. The contact from the hosts was amazing to. The parking permit is an added bonus, if you’ve been to Bakewell before you may know that parking can be a bit tricky so it made the stay even easier! We stayed here for a few nights as we walked 26 miles on the Saturday for the MacMillan mighty hike and the cottage was just what we needed to rest up and relax after our marathon (the bath was perfect!) just an all round amazing stay and would 100% recommend this cottage to anyone!

We loved our stay at Heather Cottage in Bakewell. The property is beautifully presented, really clean and well equipped, with a cosy, homely feel.
The beds were very comfortable and the bedding and pillows were great quality. There’s lots of attention to detail, more than we’ve experienced elsewhere – nice touches like bathroom toiletries, a hairdryer and even straighteners made it feel like a real home from home. The biscuits left for us on arrival were a lovely touch too.
The location is ideal, just a short walk into the centre of Bakewell, and the parking space for one car is really handy.
The host was great and kept in touch via text throughout, which was appreciated.
Overall, a lovely stay and we’d happily return.
