First off they are lying about the property it is not even close to 3 blocks to the beach is much much further much further. There is not much in the immediate neighborhood unless you need your car worked on or vegan fast food. We picked this based on the "3 blocks"it's a blatant lie. We had to go rent a car because of that. The room is small but we knew that, there is no seating that is useful, so you sit in the bed to do most things. Speaking of being in the bed, you get a great view of the most disgusting sky light thing directly over your bed, you would think they could clean that but you would be wrong it hasn't been cleaned in possibly years. So there's no walkable places to eat, not walkable to the beach, no where to sit, in bed your worried about bugs falling on you and there is no air conditioning, it was late October and the place was sweltering hot, they do give you a fan lol a tower fan that will blow hot air on you while you're soaked in sweat. Overall it has a cooling effect lol. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they did give us beach chairs to use and that was nice, we put them in the trunk of the car that we rented because they lied about the distance to the beach. Find a better place you will not like this one, they should be giving me some of my money back for having to stay in this hole

Cottage was clean. Bed was extremely firm ( be aware if you prefer a softer mattress) Decor is different than in photos but still nice. I was unable to completely turn off the heater so it got a bit stuffy. I also wish I had been warned to look more carefully at the parking restrictions so I could have avoided getting a parking ticket. Good location.

Location was very good. Could have used a calendar to strain pasta. Would liked to have a better bed. I find that there could be a better bed. Appreciated the use of beach chairs. I did not appreciate the fact that we had to wash the dishes and empty the trash as I was charged 65 for housekeeping and feel that should be the job of the housekeeper. That is if I had to leave in a hurry and was not able to do the dishes.

Overall a good stay. The property is exactly as pictured. Pros very close to the beach, clean, fairly easy to park. Cons airplane noise is very loud, the bed was a full size and tight for two people (it was me and my 18 year old daughter and it felt too small). I would say if you’re just looking for a small spot to sleep and be close to the beach, it does the job!

When we arrived to stay in our place, everything looked fine and cleanly; however, when we pulled up the sheets there were many crusty stains as if nothing had been washed. Given that we got in late, we didnt have many options to go stay elsewhere.Other than that, the place was ok.

This was the best place I have stayed with VRBO!! 10/10 stars. I felt safe, clean and comfortable bungalow, near eateries, shopping and the host was great! Communication with the host was awesome, they answered my call and kept me informed of little details of my rental. It’s a hour or so walk to Sunset Cliffs and worth it!! 20 minutes walk to dog beach & beach. I’d stay here again!!

Overall the place is fairly small, in my opinion perfect for a couples weekend get away. 15 min from downtown San Diego, balboa park, waterfront park, etc. The one downside is the parking which can be a head ache but with the great weather if San Diego, a short 2-3 min walk is nothing.

This little studio was just what I needed. It was clean, the appliances were fresh and functional, and the bathroom was updated. At the same time, the vintage vibe was preserved with the original cabinetry and beadboard ceiling. I felt safe and tucked away. My visit coincided with the heat wave and hurricane Kay so a little AC would have been welcomed, but the weather event was a one off. I will rent this property again.

Loved staying here! I came for a weekend trip with my fiancé and we had a great time! It’s in such a cute hippy area, we just parked the car and was able to walk to the beach and food no problem! (Beach is about 15-20 minute walk) Few things to note, the windows need to be open to cool the place down in the day so it seems very loud but at night it’s surprisingly quiet, we closed the windows and sky light and you hear nothing and the house stays cool with the fan on. There are planes flying over head during the day but they don’t between 10pm-7am so you don’t need to worry about not being able to sleep at night. If your planning on sleeping in super late, bring some ear plugs and an eye mask because it’s super sunny in the morning, and the house has a lot of natural light from the sky light. I highly recommend this place, we felt super safe and had a blast!

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend trip to San Diego. The rest of my group stayed just a block away, and we were able to walk to the beach and enjoy the shops and restaurants at Ocean Beach without needing to drive. Will definitely return and stay here again!
