Alvalade Palace

Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom layout was great...A very comfortable room in a really nice area. Great access to restaurants, the Oceanarium, and the airport.

everything met our needs... no complaints

It was a great one night stay close to the airport, which is what we needed it for. The front desk manager was so kind and helpful! He suggested places for us to eat and chatted with us about the hotel and Lisbon life.

The only issue was the bathroom shower. It broke while we were using it but the front desk manager was very helpful in showing us how to fix it.

We used Alvalade Palace as a one-night stay close to the Lisbon airport. It was perfect for our needs. This is a beautifully-restored, no frills, once posh home turned into a B&B. Two stories, no elevator. We upgraded and were on the first floor. Alvalade is on a main road to the airport within a district that is restoring older upscale homes. It is a 15-minute walk to a district of local and authentic Portuguese restaurants, but best if you speak Portuguese (which we didn't...). The breakfast in the downstairs area of Alvalade was plentiful and delicious, and we recommend including it in your reservation. It is not close to the tourist area of Lisbon. Very polite and gracious staff to be commended both at check-in and breakfast.

No amenities in the bathroom. Nicely restored, but basic.

Very noisy - poor structure - during the night we woke up with movement on the corridor and had to doublecheck if we had left the door wide open. Also noise from the cars in the main street. Bathrooms with sliding doors are a no no for me if you're sharing the room, very uncomfortable in such a tiny room.
