Apartment in an old barn, private garden overlooking the village

We spent 2 lovely weeks in Breglia. A very nice place to discover. Lucia is so amazing, her kindness and precious good advices are highly appreciated.

If you want to enjoy the wonders of Lake Como but want to be away from the hoards (and see something of local life), Lucia’s place is perfect. We loved our stay. The apartment was lovely, reasonably priced, and had everything we needed. Our host was also welcoming, accommodating and gave us great tips to enjoy our stay. We spent a day seeing the sights of the Lake and then two days in and around the village of Breglia. Lucia told us about walks to a local famous spring, a sanctuary and St Domonico’s (where there are stunning views of the Lake). We also walked the mountain (Monte Grona) beyond the Refugio behind Breglia, which was one of the highlights of our six week stay in Italy. The apartment has a small courtyard and garden out front which was beautiful for meals and afternoon drinks. There is also a restaurant close by, that serves inexpensive but tasty meals, if you don’t want to cook. I highly recommend Lucia, her apartment and Breglia as a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Lake Como and it’s natural wonders.

If I have to choose a word to describe our days in the apartment Ginestra and Lake Como area is PERFECT .The little village of Breglia is cosy . Nice place , nice people very descriptive about how friendly Italian people are. About the apartment is spacious , clean , very well maintained , decorated and equipped with all the things required. The garden in front of the apartment is a little piece of heaven on the earth where you can have breakfast , read , relax, etc. About Lake Como , fantastic place for holidays . You can visit all the beautiful villages like Bellagio , Menaggio , San Giovani , Varenna… or hiking through the different nice paths around the lake. But the best thing ,the owner Lucia , nice and friendly person . All the information that she gave us was very useful , all the advices about places to visit and when, were very correct. Thanks to her knowledge of the area and the good advice given to us we had the opportunity to visit a lot of amazing and worthy places out of the standard tourist ones. Thanks for all !! you have a couple of friends in Madrid.
