Bay Cosy

The house is like a tartis! It has loads of room to chill out, either by watching TV, reading a book or doing a puzzle at the dining table. It would have felt spacious even if we were at full capacity of 6. There were loads of great little touches, like a little bed for the dog, extras such as a takeaway cup, cute keyrings, slippers and a bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste. The kitchen cupboards had every utensil you could need and salt/pepper oils, tea towels etc all supplied. Great stuff! A smart TV and DVD's, games and puzzles supplied were all a bonus. Katee the manager was polite and helpful!

It's just a personal preference, but I found the bed a little too soft for my back. But the bedding was soft and lovely, which kind of made up for it.

Good accomodation in a quiet location very close to the Pevensey pebble beach with good access to Eastbourne and Hastings. Cosy and comfortable accomodation. Good sized kitchen, bedrooms and lounge with a conservatory and back yard.

Bathroom shower (in the master bedroom) was not able to mix hot and cold water. Very hot water flowing which would make having shower very difficult. Needs replacement.

Situated very close to the sea. Spacious. Close to shops. Pleasant, quiet area.

Just felt a bit ‘dirty’. Had to wash all the cutlery and crockery before use as the drawers/cupboards weren’t particularly clean and some smelled a bit musty. The en-suite bathroom had gaps between the floor tiles, one quite large, thus allowing dirt and bacteria to hide in. The trims around the corners and lengths of the wall tiles were all loose and falling off, again leaving large areas of exposed tiles. Some of the pillows were quite stained and ‘worn out’ giving very little support (luckily we brought our own). The ‘garden’ area was tiny. There was a large ‘container’ with MANY DVD’s, but, no player available to use them, or, mention of bringing your own in order to use them. Didn’t bother taking ‘negative’ pictures for a review.

Good communication regarding key entry. House was clean and roomy.

A very unkept surrounding area. Many of the windows did not open as no keys available. No opening window in en-suit shower room so condensation. No door to that area so no privacy when using the toilet. Only one small opening window in the bedroom. Second bedroom had no wall window only a non-opening ceiling window so very claustrophobic. Also no way out via a window in either room if there had been a fire. Booked for 4 people but only 3 proper dining chairs and 3 wine glasses. Wooden floor boards were very wobbly and on different levels in and out of lounge/conservatory/kitchen. I fell badly because of this and bruised a knee!
