About this apartment rental
In the middle of the old town of Schwerin and yet quiet residential area. In the immediate vicinity are various restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and bakeries. Directly in the center of Schwerin, in the immediate vicinity of the cathedral, the Mecklenburg State Theater, the castle and the Schwerin Lakeland are our 5 lovingly furnished vacation apartments. The 5 individual and lovingly furnished vacation apartments are suitable for 1-4 persons. They are all equipped with a well-equipped kitchen, modern beautiful bathrooms, and some apartments with balcony or terrace. Bed linen and towels are free for the stay. The W-Lan is of course free of charge.

The apartment was nice and clean, the little garden was also nice. You have WiFi in the apartment as well as the garden. We got a small package of coffee as welcome gift, other small useful things (salt, soap and the like) were also free of cost in the apartment.
Communication with the agency was horrible (impossible until Check in day! we tried several times), but communication with the host at check in day and afterwards was very good and uncomplicated. We were just surprised that we had to pay in cash instead of our credit card being charged. We had enough time to go to an ATM, but for people not able to withdraw money at every ATM this could he an unpleasant surprise.
The only things we didn't like: the blankets were very, very warm and not suitable for summer, so we woke up in sweat every morning. Also the apartment was quite dark (not enough lights), especially in the bathroom, we couldn't really see ourselves in the mirror. Also the TV wasn't working, which didn't really bother us, but maybe it's important to others.
The location of the apartment was very good, you see the castle from the street you're staying in and walk there as well as to the beautiful gardens in a few minutes. You can reach the city centre, bus and tram stations in a few minutes, you can even walk to the main station in less than 20 minutes if you like. Also supermarkets and restaurants/cafés/bars are around the corner.
Overall a nice experience!

Das Apartment liegt in einem sehr gepflegten Altbau in der ruhigen Klosterstraße zentral in Schwerin, keine 5 Minuten vom Schloss und der Altstadt entfernt. Die Wohnküche ist super gemütlich, der Kamin an der Lehmbauwand ist ein Highlight. Die ganze Wohnung war klein und fein - ein perfekter Rückzugsort.
2 Punkte gäbe es aus unserer Sicht zu verbessern. Zum einen ist die Wohnung recht dunkel. Da sie im Erdgeschoss liegt, hatten wir manchmal auch tagsüber die Vorhänge geschlossen. Mehr Lampen bzw. hellere Glühbirnen wären gut, oder vielleicht eine Sichtschutzfolie.
Zudem stimmen nicht alle Informationen, die bei den jeweiligen Online-Portalen hinterlegt werden. So sind sowohl der Parkplatz als auch das Boot gegen Erwartung nicht in der Buchung enthalten, was sehr schade war. Da Schwerin komplett parkraumbewirtschaftet ist, mussten wir noch mal viel für Parkgebühren ausgeben. Laut Vermieterin werden auf verschiedenen Portalen z.T. ohne ihr Zutun Informationen falsch wiedergegeben. Es lohnt sich also, vorher telefonisch bei ihr nachzufragen! Die Absprache war immer schnell und sehr hilfsbereit.
