Everything! The hosts welcomed us with smiles and lots of useful information about the house, the trails from Luz. They lent us bikes, which were very useful as we’d come by bus and were a lovely way to visit places. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous with wonderful views over to São Jorge and Pico islands, lush greenery and flowers and numerous pretty places to sit plus hammocks. The house has a beautiful verandah where we ate. Lots of space in the house. Well equipped with lots of thoughtful items including pegs, empty containers for storing food in fridge etc etc. Karin and Stefan are exceptional, attentive but not intrusive hosts and I’ve never written that before in a review! Graciosa is a gorgeous island, so quiet and beautiful with spectacular caldera just behind the Quinta Perpetua. Absolutely recommend.

Bei der Quinta Perpetua handelt es sich um ein großes Cottage, bestehend aus mehreren Gebäuden und einem sehr großen Garten. Im Hauptgebäude wohnen die deutschsprachigen Gastgeber*innen Karin und Steffen. In den anderen sind die drei Gästewohnungen. Sowohl die Gebäude als auch der Garten sind überaus gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Im weitläufigen Garten stehen am Seerosen-Teich bequeme Liegen, aber auch Hängematten sind im Garten vorhanden.
Wir haben in der Casa Pico gewohnt, die sehr hochwertig möbliert und ausgestattet ist. Zudem hatte diese Wohnung ein für uns bequemes Bett mit angenehm harten Matratzen und Bettdecken in Überlänge.
Fußläufig vom Cottage ist im Ort Luz außerdem ein kleiner Supermarkt zu erreichen.
Unsere Gastgeber*innen haben sich sehr aufmerksam und fürsorglich, aber unaufdringlich um unser Wohl gekümmert.
Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Casa Pico is a really lovely apartment. We could even live in it happily! It has everything you need and more, for example, mountains of closet space and lots of coat hangers. But more importantly, it is the whole package that makes it such a lovely place to stay. The views over to Pico Mountain and the sea are beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous with so many different spots for relaxing. I loved the hammocks. Karen and Steffen are such hospitable hosts, helping out with so many things, such as making sure we used the bikes, providing some breakfast supplies when we arrived late on a Sunday, and even doing some washing for us. The lovely patio was perfect for evening meals. We did some lovely walks to, and around the caldera which is close by.This property so exceeded our expectations and we would come back in a heartbeat.
