It has a cosy feeling and the pictures did not do it justice.
The lounge with the open fire was lovely especially after getting back from our soaking wet hike up Snowden!

Absolutely stunning - kitted out with everything we needed. The communication was very good from the get go. We spent Christmas here and it was really worth the money. The restaurant at Aberdunant hotel brilliant. 2 good sights to visit Portmeirion and Cwmorthin Waterfall brilliant day trips
Only issue I had was reversing my electric car into the drive got stuck on gravel as its rear wheel drive but we did figure out a way to get it in without getting stuck

Exceptional.
Lovely character old school. Clean. Well decorated / appointed. Shower worked brilliantly. Super comfy bed mattresses.
Wonderful people running it - they couldn’t have been better in communication or desiring to ensure our family holiday was a success.
Would not hesitate to recommend.
It’s a fabulous spot.
I hated leaving!

The old school house was gorgeous, comfortable, well equipped and felt like a luxury stay for our group. The location was beautiful and on the doorstep to Snowdon which we went to climb. From outside the front door we could walk up hill immediately into stunning views and countryside. We loved the attention to detail in the house that brought to life it's past as an actual school house. The grounds were gorgeous and the information on the locality was detailed and very helpful.
We couldn't quite figure out the heating but this wasn't really an issue for us we visited in April and we sourced some firewood locally and got the wood burner going which was lovely. The recycling instructions were a bit scary (due to Welsh legislation) but the actual recycling was very straight forward when we were there.

It was very tastefully decorated and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Alexa was a nice bonus and very much enjoyed.
The pressure from the 2 electric showers is a little low, but we enjoyed a good bath after our long walks/hikes.
Overall cleanliness was good, but on closer inspection needed a bit more detail to attention like cobwebs on chandeliers and in corners.
The little plaques in each room are a nice touch to inform about the old school.

The house was full of character and very comfy. The scenery fabulous.
A mix up over key code as 2 were given but when I checked phone a further code had been updated.
Confusion over bins but minor issue. Overloaded with notes both booking.com and Sykes cottages so missed some hints both my fault for not reading all of it.

we went with 2 families and kids. clean, great position with lovely hotel bar with beautiful terrace only a few mins walk away. beautiful views from top of road. quiet and peaceful. plenty of room, very well equipped. would recommend.
Showers were difficult - very difficult to get temperature right. small changes in temperature dial resulted in freezing water! Ability to split another double into twin beds would be perfect. For couples, bigger beds would also improve it. Another dishwasher tablet (we were only there 2 nights) and a cloth to clean kitchen would be useful. We loved it though.

The property had everything we could ask for ample room for 8 people, facilities in this lovely property were excellent. Bedrooms were good size beds were comfy. Went for sons 30th birthday and the owner kindly left a bottle of Prosecco to help start our celebrations. We had the most wonderful time. House on secluded quiet country lane, pub just round the corner serving delicious food, and only a few minutes drive to PorthMadog. What mofre could we ask for
Parking was a bit tight but not an issue and we went in 3 cars

everything was brilliant, small basket of essentials on arrival was a bonus.
my only negative was the bathroom surround in the main bathroom and shower head and door in the en-suite were just needing a bit more of a clean.

The location was very good. The Old School was situated in a quiet hamlet & ideal for local sights such as Port Merrion, Beddgelert, Criccieth, Betswy-y-Coed, Conwy etc.
There was nothing we didn't like

Property had everything we needed and it's in a beautiful location. Very spacious and cosy, would definitely recommend it!
The property is on a steep hill so the parking could be a bit tricky for the ones not used driving in the mountain
