Miners Cottage

Nice quiet location, 20 mins to Penzance and the Minack, 30 mins to St Ives. Good size and comfortable bedrooms. Lovely original stone fire place and good kitchen.

This is just an observation and not meant as a criticism. The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably and the kitchen is suitable for that number. The living room accommodates 4 comfortably but it is snug, if you’re not planning to stay in as a family during the evening its not a problem. Having a single shower room / WC on the ground floor means you need to plan the morning shower times. The property could be converted into a 2 x double bedroom property with an upstairs bathroom and removing the existing ground floor shower room and taking the corridor walls out to create a much more spacious, open plan living area - this would make a massive difference to the property but I appreciate that this would limit the properties capacity and its good value for money for 6 people. - excuse the ramble!

It was an authentic miners cottage. So we could soak up the atmosphere. The shower room was very good and we loved the fact that we could just walk to some attractions.

The internet wasn’t working. So we couldn’t watch tv or use our devices.

Delightful location with beautiful views over the sea. Small shops and pub nearby. Easy to get to St Ives, Penzancw and the Minack Theatre. The old stone cottage was a delight to stay in.

I personally found the 'smart TV' difficult to negotiate, but with help from the owners it all worked out in the end. Also getting to the downstairs loo in the night was a bit of a pain, but that's the way the cottage was designed. Please make these features clear to future (elderly) guests.

Convenient location, comfortable sitting room and double bedrooms. On arrival tea, milk, coffee and fudge were left in the kitchen. Nice touch.

Singles bedroom, a bit basic but comfortable. Black hair in my bed. I couldn’t find any instructions for the cooker. I was given 2 key codes for the front door; Booking.com and Sykes Cottages
