Excellent location, comfortable lodging and outstanding communications

The location is ideal for exploring the walled city. With two very updated bathrooms it was ideal for our group of four. But what was truly outstanding was the great communications from Francesco the owner of apartment. In addition, when we arrived he met us at free parking and led us to the free parking right by apartment to unload all of our luggage. Then he led us back to park our car at the free parking and then drove us back to the apartment. Lucca is a labyrinth of small twisting streets and it was so helpful for Francesco to help us navigate. He also gave us links to attractions and best place to rent bikes to ride around the city walls.

Nice Lucca apartment

Location is excellent, being within city walls. Nice to have a kitchen to make a quick breakfast or snack. Owner was very helpful with recommendations of what to see and where to eat.

It is on 3rd floor and the floors are higher than what I was used to. This means more steps to carry bags.

Lucca is beautiful and you couldn’t ask for a better or more comfortable location.

The location is incredible! You couldn’t ask for a better location. Francisco, the hostel, was amazing. He was very helpful.

Parking! You need to park outside the city walls and walk 20 minutes to the apartment. Keep your luggage small and light. Then apartment is located on the top floor and there is no elevator.

Stunning apartment in the centre of Lucca

The apartment was beautifully renovated and had stunning views over Lucca. Centrally located and easy to get out to see the city. Francesco was a great host; picking us up from the station and recommending places to eat.

Location, host, flat.... All Amazing

Fantastic location, Amazing host, Gorgeous flat. Host picked us up from the train station, offered ride back to station, even found a place to leave our luggage after check out before our train. Host has done a great job renovating the property. Shared a few others he has, all look excellent. Top of our list of places to stay again.

A little historical gem.

We loved the property, great location, clean tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Francesco was very helpful both with the check-in and he gave recommendations on local places to eat, hire bikes. There’s a restaurant and a mini supermarket located in the piazza that the apartment is in too.

We did not like very much ....

We are seniors and the stairs (64 of them) we were not aware of. You should know that getting parking and getting to the apt. was very difficult. Much of the equipment in the apt. did not work. The a/c was not on when we arrived and with two small bedroom a/c units we were never able to get the heat down. Would not recommend to anyone. Floor tiles loose and dangerous. Fans did not work. Refrigerator set to zero and no freezer section. In order to get temp to 21C we had to close all the windows and keep it dark. We did not enjoy our stay and would never recommend this rental in Lucca.

Nice apartment in historical Lucca center.

Apartment is really nice and if you would like to visit old Lucca, you could not imagine better place to stay. In real historical center, very comfortable and with amazing view.

There are 2 points to speak about: 1) Please take in consideration, than free parking is about 1 km far from apartment and if you are not moved by owner car, you need to walk it - as was our case, No issue for us, but could be said before. 2) I was not happy with owner message, that we should take in consideration apartment average Booking.com rating around 9,6 for our own evaluation...

I would love to return for longer. It ticked all my boxes.

Everything! This was the perfect characterful place for a brief visit to Lucca to take in one of the festival concerts. Francesco met me at the station, showed me round the apartment and found a safe place for me to leave my bag the next day.

Nothing! The property was originally for two people. It would have been comfortable for two couples. In the end it was just me so I had plenty of space.

Great location within the walls of Lucca, very comfortable, clean and well equipped

A beautiful historic property in an excellent location. Nicely restored and very comfortable with lots of nice amenities - including a lovely terrace upon which we had a wonderful catered dinner prepared by the owner, Francesco’s son, named Eduardo. Large comfortable beds and split unit a/c in the bedrooms. Nicely restored kitchen with everything needed. Francesco was so generous with accommodations and went the far extra mile with everything you can think of. We really appreciated him! There were six of us and there’s was lots of room within the 2 connected apartments

There are 42 stair steps to reach the apartments which less fit people might find challenging

Gorgeous.

Our host Francesco was amazing. He found us parking outside of the city walls, met us there and drove us to the apartment. Really went above and beyond. He then drove us back with all our luggage when we left. His English is excellent so communication was no problem. He also provided some good restaurant recommendations.

Be warned, there are lots of stairs up to the apartment, third floor. No lift!

An excellent apartment in a great location with wonderful host

The apartment is really well fitted out and in a great central location in Lucca. Two couples stayed and thoroughly enjoyed it. The host Francesco was excellent in his communication, met us on arrival showing us where to park for free and drove us to the apartment. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat that were off the tourist routes. Highly recommended

Close to the main attractions to the area. Great restaurant downstairs and supermarket and laundromat nearby. Location was very clean and there was parking for our car outside the city walls. Francesco was very helpful throughout our stay. Home is beautifully decorated and the showers are wonderful.

The restaurant below is open late and there are seagulls squawking late at night. If you are noise sensitive you have to sleep with the windows shut. The house is sound proof once windows are closed.

Fantastic Apartment in central Lucca

This is a fantastic property and the owner Francesco was very friendly and helpful. We had the apartment with 2 bedrooms and en suite in both, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is ideal and Francesco was good enough to pick us up from the train station and return us at the end of our stay to avoid pulling our luggage through the town. Lucca is a fantastic place to visit and this apartment and Franesco made our trip even better

Absolutely the best place and best host in Lucca

We had a wonderful stay in this exceptional apartment in Lucca. The location surely cannot be bettered - so central. We were on the top floor of the most beautiful historic building, and the apartment is full of character, furnished in the traditional style. There was even a piano on the landing! And I had a view straight across to the Guinigi Tower (that’s the one with trees growing at its top!) Francesco was the BEST host ever, making sure we found the right parking spot, meeting us there, giving us a lift in, and then taking me to the station at the end. He was also super-responsive on WhatsApp, and a tremendous source of advice and local recommendations. We will definitely be back!

A nice, clean apartment

It was a good location and Francesco was very helpful in offering restaurant suggestions and places to visit. He kept in close touch with us throughout our stay to insure that everything was going well, which we appreciated. There is a trattoria right outside the entrance to the building a Which we found to be most convenient and quite good. The apartment is walking distance to everything inside the walled city.

Fantastic location and beautiful apartment

The location was incredible, right in the middle of the historic part of Lucca. Francesco made checking in so easy and was available to give us advise on where to go and where to eat in this beautiful city. He even arranged a lift to the station for us when we left as it was raining and we had our luggage. Yes, there are stairs but the property is in an historic building which far outweighed the extra flights we had to do! We would definitely return when visiting Lucca again!

The apartment was super comfortable and spacious. The decor, the ceilings, and the bathrooms renovations so beautiful. AC in bedrooms worked really good. Excellent location only couple of blocks from Via Filungo shopping and restaurants.

Loved everything, only wished there was an elevator, however it would lose its historical charm. Also would be good to offer 2 keys.
