The cottage was decorated to a very high standard and was spotless. My hubby says that the oven was amazing!
The beds were very comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The garden area has a lovely play area with a sand pit for children. Also plenty of space for the dogs.
I loved the property. So nothing negative to say.

Old fashioned cottage a little modern inside which we loved kids loved feeding the animals realy cozy on a night when log fire was alight
Very cold in the morning due to old heaters Didn’t take long to heat sitting room when fire was alight
Didn’t like the country roads you needed to take to get to the cottage

The cottage was beautifully decorated. The hosts achieved the right balance of traditional and modern. There was plenty of crockery, glasses and kitchen equipment. It felt warm and cosy - the log burner was a treat. The grounds were excellent.
The games room could do with a little TLC.
The property is a little off the beaten track. It’s lovely if you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet, you just have to be prepared for the single track access. The narrow, windy lanes can feel a little daunting at night. But that’s Cornwall! And the property was worth it.

Lovely location, very quiet and peaceful but not too far from local attractions. Nice to have both a bath and a shower. Cottage was spacious and comfortable to stay in, though there was only two of us it would have been fine with two more.
Not much really! I am picky with beds and found the double to be a bit uncomfortable and it was quite creaky, however the bedding was very soft and comfortable.

The cottage was amazing, very clean and spacious. We had the best time and would 100% recommend. Thank you for the complimentary snacks on arrival, we will definitely stay again.

The cottages were hidden away down a quiet lane close to farms and fields. Gemma and Andrew made us feel very welcome. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable short break.

A charming, roomy cottage with well equiped kitchen. Surroundings are scenic and the garden is lovely. The cottage has its own small garden with furniture. Games room and playground were fun for our daughter. Very welcoming hosts.

Good central location for exploring Devon and Cornwall.
Settee in the lounge not very comfortable as little back support. Hard floors would be better than carpets in the main living room.

The grounds were lovely, perfect for children. Great open gardens with sand pit and gruffalo trail which was great. The farm animals were a bonus, our children loved feeding the animals, and checking for the cheeky chickens every day who would always appear at dinner time!
There wasn't much space in the living room for all of us which were staying in Fowey Cottage, or space for the children to play.
Great outdoor space for them to run wild on nice days, but limited space indoors.

Lovely setting. Comfortable and clean cottage. Friendly welcome Very good welcome pack.
Water pressure In the shower was not good. Sleeps seven, but only seats six at the dining table!? Shower cubicles could do with a refurb

Lovely building with lots of charm and a wood burner that can kick out some heat. Was perfect for a little get away to visit local walks or to be fair just stay in and have lazy days. Very much a comfy home from home. Also the little touches for your arrival.
Not a dislike but maybe a suggestion to have clearer packing for the cottages. Only takes one person to mess up the system and take up more room, however Gemma did say you could park int he courtyard literally 10 meters away. We stayed in January over a stormy weekend (great fun with the fire btw) so just nice to know you can park right outside and run straight to and from the car lol.

Absolutely everything! We have just arrived home from the most wonderful trip to this property. The cottage itself is a home away from home, beautifully equipped, comfortable, cosy and spacious. The grounds are STUNNING and the chickens were a hit with our children. The little park is fab and our kids spent hours out there playing and the gruffalo trail was just wonderful. The hosts are lovely and so accommodating. Location wise this place is perfect, there is so much natural beauty right on your doorstep. We never wanted to leave, there were tears!
No negatives whatsoever for us. We could have moved in.

Fantastic rural location with great facilities. A cosy country retreat. We stayed as a large family group in 3 of the cottages. Lower Trengale Farm is in a very quiet, idyllic location, but only a short drive to some of our favourite locations (Golitha Falls, Looe, Fowey, Bodmin, Newquay, and Tintagel). We loved relaxing in the evenings by the firepit or in the games room and walked the dogs each morning around the beautiful grounds. Nothing is too much trouble for Gemma and Andy. This is our second time at Lower Trengale, and I am sure it won't be our last. Our dogs will miss Cap, the friendly, local Bordie Collie, who came daily to sit in the garden with us. All in all, the trip was just what we needed to wind down and relax! Thank you, Gemma and Andy.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The hosts live on site, but aren't intrusive - there if you need them or for a friendly hello in passing. Very hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. The area is remote and therefore quiet - if you're lucky, on a clear night this also means you could get to see the amazing starry sky! About a 40/50 min drive to popular beaches like Fistral & Perranporth. We loved our whole stay and will definitely come back again on our next Cornwall visit.

Lovely surroundings! Very kind, friendly and caring hosts who promptly responded to all our queries and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. Additional attractions for adults and kids. Privacy. The fireplace :) Very clean and comfortable cottage for two families (one on each floor), three bathrooms!
This is nothing major but for my very tall husband (6ft4) the double beds were a little bit short, all had a board at the feet too, would be better if they were open-ended.
The top bunk bed in one of the rooms was very high (close to the ceiling) and a bit hard to get to and from, my kid bumped her head a few times (she wakes up at night). For a kid that sleeps like a log this won’t be an issue

We liked everything about the cottages. The location is ideal: just minutes away from Golitha Falls and Bodmin Moor, and only 30 minutes from Polperro and the coast. The farm is very attractive and quiet, with lots of wildlife and even lambs to feed. The children were outside in the play area and the woods all the time, and enjoyed the Gruffalo Hunt. The hosts were charming and friendly, and all in all it was one of the best short holidays we've ever had as a family.

The setting was beautifiul and very peaceful. The owners were the perfect hosts and responded quickly to any questions and requests. The beds were comfy, as were the sofas. The onsite shop was good and so were the facilities for laundary and the games room and the gardens were lovely.
The kitchen and bathroom were functional and clean, but could do with updating and a few more cooking utensils, but overall we were more than happy with the property.
