We knowingly paid a higher price for this apartment, mainly for its location and the amenities it promised, but the real

We were aware that this apartment came at a high price, but we chose it knowingly — mainly for its location and for the range of amenities it promised. Unfortunately, the reality fell short of expectations. When we arrived, the apartment was far from immaculate: there was a thick layer of dust on many surfaces, drawers were dirty, and the radiators, light fixtures, and chairs clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The floors had not been properly washed for what looked like months. We found hair from previous guests in the shower, and the sofa had not been properly vacuumed. Although the décor is tasteful, I would rather sit on a clean sofa and not have to deal with other people’s hair in the bathroom. On top of that, the washing machine did not work for the entire stay. While the host kindly offered to do our laundry, this was not the solution we were looking for. One of the main reasons we booked an apartment with a washing machine was to be independent and manage laundry ourselves, without having to rely on someone else. The first night, when we wanted to take a shower, there was no hot water. After fiddling with the boiler for a while and writing to the host, we eventually managed to restart it ourselves. Although this happened at around 10 p.m. and was resolved, it was still an inconvenience — and one more issue to add to the list. On the last day, the coffee machine stopped working. After I contacted the host, he sent a video explaining how to get it running again in just a few steps. While that solved the problem, it’s the fact of having to contact the host for every essential appliance that I found frustrating. When you are on holiday, you expect things to work properly without having to troubleshoot constantly. I can imagine the host might say that if the cleaning was not satisfactory, we could have told him and he would have taken care of it.

Cosy Spot Close to Town

Great position in Vannes and within walking distance of old town and port. The apartment was well laid out and easy to use. The coffee machine worked well. Separate toilet a plus. The ground floor location meant it was comfortable in the hot weather we had.

Parking spot was difficult with other cars parked randomly in a tight space. A bit of noise from upstairs occasionally.

I come back again

The location is nice, apartment equipped with everything you need. Not far from city centre, parking lot available. Me and my kid enjoyed the Nintendo Wii with Mario Kart in the evening after dinner :D The communication with David (the owner) was promptly!

A Gem near Vannes Old Town

The apartment was cosy and stylish with everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Vannes. It was in walking distance to the old town and the port. It had a parking spot which was very convenient too. Our host David was very helpful and thoughtful.

Lovely place to stay. Comfortable, easy walk to local grocery store as well as center of Vannes.

Host was very responsive and answered all questions both prior and in real time during our stay! Place was lovely-- recently renovated. Really appreciated having a combo washing machine and dryer! And place was comfortable, well decorated, and thoughtfully laid out. All codes were easily found and we enjoyed our stay.

Parking works well for a small car, but does require some maneuverability in a tight space.

great place to stay to visit Vannes. everything you need, but bring your earplugs.

the apartment was beautiful. it was really spacious and bright and everything worked well.the whole checking in was simple. it was very close to the old part of town and easy walking distance to there and to supermarkets. wifi was reliable and good quality. all the facilities were really top quality.

the sound insulation from upstairs is not good. you can hear the people upstairs walking around and talking and they had quite a few children as well. we expected the children would be in bed early, but while we were there they were awake and running around till after midnight. I always have earplugs so no big deal for me.

Stylishly decorated and comfortable apartment with everything you might need for a short to medium length of stay. Little extras like chargers on both sides of the bed were a nice touch. David was available throughout should we have needed him and was able to assist in recommending restaurants etc,

Lovely apartment and good location

Generally very good - attractive and stylish apartment, seems newly renovated, well equipped, very clean. Good kitchen and Wi-Fi. Free off road parking at the back of the apartment. Easy 5 min walk into town centre. Spacious and light rooms.

Had some problems finding the right apartment. The second bedroom has no light or lamp you can switch off from the bed. Could hear the neighbors upstairs moving around, but that’s normal in an apartment block. No balcony or outside space.

Our stay in Vannes

The apartment was well equipped & very clean & the owner had obviously gone to a lot of trouble with decor & furnishings which were all very modern & up to date. The location was perfect for us - only a short walk to the port & medieval centre. By chance our stay coincided with Vanne's huge outdoor market which we thoroughly enjoyed wandering around. Communication from David the owner was excellent from time of booking to throughout our stay. We would love to return to Vannes & would definitely try to book this apartment again

If you have a large car, you’re probably going to need to park on the street as opposed to the designated parking space, as it’s very tight. This wasn’t an issue for us.

Séjour très agréable , appartement charmant

L’immeuble ne paie pas de mine mais qu’elle surprise quand on ouvre la porte, on y découvre un appartement plein de charme, parfaitement équipé , calme et très propre. À 15 min à pied du vieux centre. Idéal pour visiter Vannes et la région. On se gare facilement dans les rues adjacentes.
