The Swan Inn, Letton, Near Hay on Wye

Excellent breakfast and service of it. Friendly staff generally. Great room, bed and en suite.

Very dusty gravel in the car park - it messes up shoes etc for wherever you are going next.

Food and pub

Staff need to learn how to smile and interact with customers think only one 1⃣ who knew how to do this was the owner. Also Breakfast wasn't great as chief was trying to do it all no waiter. But appart from that would definitely return

Premises very new, spacious room and bathroom, full of natural light.

No sleep at all, hot inside (there is a fan), not able to open the window (very very noisy road)

The size of the room and peaceful location made for a lovely getaway.

The lack of air conditioning made a dramatic difference arriving in summer. We mounted the fan to blow directly over the bed but even with the windows open at night the heat was stifling; this paired with sunrise lighting the room past the blinds at 05:30 lead to a poor night's sleep. The odd lack of bins anywhere in the building (even the breakfast area) lead us to believe that the current focus on B&B rather than being an operational pub is a new one. Historic photos of cooked foods on Google were misleading as the site does not have an operational kitchen.
