The Alnham, Large 3 bed apartment, Close to the City

Nothing it was perfect

Very nice and clean. Good location for Kingston Park and a some nice pubs within walking distance. Host is very helpful and quick to reply to messages.

Could do with a bigger sofa.

Surprised at how big this apartment was, excellent value for a weekend stay for us! Was very clean and made up beautifully to make us feel really welcome on arrival. We travelled up to watch the rugby at Kingston Park and the location is ideal for this. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the ground, but you are also close to the Fawdon Metro station which can take you a bit closer to the ground. The Kingston Park retail centre is a short walk or drive away with plenty of facilities if needed. With the Metro being close it is also easy to hop on this to visit the city centre. We also had plenty of communication from our host who was very pleasant to deal with, and made us feel right at home during our stay.

Dining table extremely wobbly Sofa leg wobbly - couldn't relax as worried sofa might break. Only 2 seater sofa, 4 place settings at dining table, yet apt beds could accommodate 6. Not really suitable for a family or group of friends to relax together after a busy day. Some fixtures were very loose - toilet roll holder, shower rail, curtain tie back hooks (even though curtains had been replaced by blinds)

the alnham was ideal for our family trip to my daughters graduation. the 2 storey apartment was perfect for us. we had a kitchen, bathroom and 3 bedrooms. it was clean and fresh for us. communication prior to our arrival was good. the apartment is in a residential area with nearby shops for the essentials. it was a quiet area and we were well pleased with the convenience overall of the apartment.

Had everything needed for an overnight stay. Good value for family with two teens and a lot more comfortable than a family room.

Shower is very weak. Only a 2 person couch for watching TV. No hairdryer.

Toilet running all night a bit annoying

The apartment is nicely finished and spread over two floors with sooo much space! It seemed very well sound proofed and the only noise we ever heard was occasionally from outside at night when we had the windows open. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of storage. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of glasses, plates etc and we loved the supply of board games and DVDs provided! Access on our arrival day was easy and straightforward. The location of the property is very handy for getting around - Fawdon Metro is a few minutes walk away and road links were also good. Free parking right outside the apartment is very convenient. There is an Aldi near the Metro stop and a Tesco plus lots of other shops a few minutes drive (or one Metro stop) away which was great for picking up food and other bits. We had a small issue on arrival with the property not having been cleaned after the previous party left - this seemed to just be a mix up and Charlotte, the property manager, was very quick to resolve the problem. These things happen and we were very impressed with the friendly and helpful response we received from her. Overall the apartment was perfect for the few nights we spent as a family seeing the sights in and around Newcastle. We thought it was excellent value for money and would love to return one day!

The sofa in the kitchen/dining/living room space is only big enough for 2-3 people which was a bit tight for our family of 5. The kitchen was a little short of things like baking trays for cooking. Lack of a mirror in the main bedroom was a bit of a pain for getting ready in the mornings. We would have also liked a larger bed in the main bedroom (it is a double but there is plenty of space in there for a king) but that is just personal preference.

Spacious rooms, nice and clean, some issues but overall happy.

Overgrown grass around driveway. Cigarette buts next to front door. Key lock box was stuck and I struggled opening it (managed to fix the problem). Kitchen tap washer gone.

Ideal for weekends away 10 mins from the Racecourse by car 10 -15 mins from town by car

Internet wasn't working

Once in the apartment, it's super, has everything you need and so spacious and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and lovely clean and soft towels. You have ample parking too and great green places nearby to walk the dog or kick a footy around. There is a good aldi very close by to stock up the kitchen.

The area isn't the best however the people we came into contact with were very friendly so I would say that this should not put you off. Could do with a couple of extra pans and maybe some more common cooking materials such as oil, salt and pepper but by no means a necessity.

O kit primeiros socorros é uma piada de mal gosto não tem nada. A equipe de limpeza deixou uma meia suja do hóspede anterior na graveta. Ítens como papel toalha na cozinha e sacos de lixo ajudam o hóspede a manter o próprio apartamento limpo.
