Cool spot, but a bit odd.

The view and property grounds are beautiful. Old stone buildings and a cool location.

Property advertised a kitchen. There is not a kitchen, there is a hotplate and a dirty closet with a sink.

Great place in the mountains

The Land Beyond is a great place to stay in the mountains. Cosy and very close to Monodendri if you plan to do the Vikos Gorge hike. The host was very responsive and helpful!

Not great for families with small kids

We ordered 2 rooms for a family with kids, the rooms we got were at the far ends of the property.

Not recommended

Quiet location

The smell of heavy oil fuel in our room and at the entrance of the hotel. You can hear everything from our room, ex people talking all night when we asked to change the room they said its full.

Beautiful place, great view. Location is good. not necessary the best choice for families (we had two different rooms) but for travelers is good and value for money

Would come again!

Nice, quiet place with lot of space in the garden and excellent views to the mountains. In the common space you have everything you need to cook and prepare something . The host is kind and helpful. There is a library on your disposal.

Pure bliss

This place is pure bliss. Nico and his team work extremely hard to have an amazing place for their guests, and I can tell they are extremely successful. Nicely decorated room and large common dining area, which our son used extensively on these rainy afternoons and evenings. Big terrace overlooking the mountains, very quiet, and well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately we only stayed two nights due to the fact that a combination of bad weather, toddler and mountains is far for perfect. Otherwise, we would have extended our stay!

The common kitchen has a big light hanging from the ceiling but never managed to find the switch :)

Wonderful place and great hospitality

Great location. Nikos, the owner, is a wonderful and a very intersting man, hellped us find the best tracks with kids, gave us fresh eggs for breakfest, talked to a tour guide and convinced him to allow our youngest son join the tour (he was too young).

We liked everything, would have been very happy to stay there more nights but the rooms were all booked.

Good for a night - small, basic bedrooms, but comfortable and clean.

The view from the patio is outstanding. The location is great, and the idea behind the complex is valuable.

The room we had was tiny, and although there was a shared lounge/dining area that was comfortable, the kitchen is very cramped and tricky to use to prepare a meal. There are no places in the complex where we could sit inside or under shelter and see the view.

Exceptional

The location is absolutely excellent to explore Zagori. Vitsa village is a great start for several most beautiful hiking trails. On the other hand, it is very quite place. The communication with the host was excellent and he responded to all our questions and messages immediately. Would love to come to this place again.

The kitchenette is in a shared place. It is nice and has everything. It is just not a private facility of the room but a facility for shared use.

Clean quiet rooms, nice beds extra towels available there’s a few trails for a hike starting from the facility, over all great experience. The host was friendly and very helpful.

The property is in a very good location and it’s very cozy and warm although the room is very small.

Most of the time there wasn’t anyone available around if you wanted to ask something. Also, I would like to have the option for breakfast, as it’s very difficult to find breakfast in the area around.

Good

The location was nice, vitsa was nice little town. The accomodation has a nice terrace with a great view and even in October sun until late afternoon. The room was small, but clean and had all amenities needed. The shared rooms were very nice, with several boardgames available for the guests. Of note, there is no supermarket in Vitsa or surrounding towns. You have to do your grocery shopping in Ioannina.

The shared kitchen was not very clean and the kitchen utilities were very minimal. There was only one decent size electric hob. Therefore you had to be creative with cooking. We read several reviews that the host was really good and could give a lot of information. However, this is not our experience. In our case, the host was a german volunteer who was not particularly interested and could not advice us on our hikes or things to do around.

Very odd place indeed

The location is absolutely fantastic and the views are wonderful. There are some great restaurants nearby, and of course the gorge!

Everything about our experience was just a bit odd unfortunately. Here's a little taster: - There is a dog that is chained up day and night at the property entrance, and he barks day and night. Very difficult to get a good night's sleep even if you have been walking all day! - On our first morning there wasn't any breakfast whereas on the second morning there was. The person in charge explained that she hadn't been organised enough on the first day. - The communal kitchen was tiny, messy and reminiscent of student accommodation - not what you would expect for the price - The bar was closed because the bar tender had taken a trip for a week. - The place was being run by a volunteer who spoke limited English - The owner when we checked out said that it isn't meant to be a hotel, so I am not sure why they are listing on booking.com

Great place to stay in Zagoria. Beautiful location close to great hiking trails and also not too far from some great restaurants. The whole concept and atmosphere are unique, and the hosts are incredibly interesting!

Οι συνθήκες ήταν άθλιες. Είχαμε κλείσει Σάββατο με Τρίτη αλλά ήταν πολύ δύσκολο εκ μέρους μας να παραμείνουμε καθώς οι συνθήκες δεν μας το επέτρεψαν. Τρίχες από ζώα (υπάρχει αλλεργία στις γάτες)και ανθρώπους (μούχλα στο ντουζ)καμία σχέση οι φωτογραφίες με αυτό που αντικρίσαμε. Είχαμε θέα το parking. Το δεύτερο δωμάτιο που μείναμε βρωμουσε πετρέλαιο. Πάθαμε διακοπή ρεύματος για πάνω από 12 ώρες και πλημμύρισε το μπάνιο και στην συνέχεια το δωμάτιο με αποτέλεσμα να προσπαθούμε πάνω από δύο ώρες να αδειάσουμε το μπάνιο από το βρώμικα νερά.Βοήθεια δεν υπήρχε καμία πέρα από ένα μήνυμα που ανταλλάξαμε με έναν «υπεύθυνο » ο οποίος δεν έδωσε καμία απάντηση πέρα από το να κάνουμε υπομονή μέχρι το πρωί.Επισης όλο το κατάλυμα ήταν οικοδομή στην κυριολεξία. Πεταμένα πράγματα δεξιά και αριστερά…σκόνη ,μπάζα και ακαταστασία. Το μόνο πράγμα που τους ενδιαφέρει είναι να μην γράψουμε κακή κριτική.

Sehr schöne ruhige Unterkunft

Sehr schöner ruhiger Ort in einem kleinen sehr gemütlichen Dorf. Die Unterkunft war schon und am hang gelegen, früh haben wir auf der Terrasse in der Sonne gesessen. Es war ruhig und herrlich zum schlafen. Die Unterkunft war liebevoll eingerichtet und der Vermieter sehr nett. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, wenn wir das gewusst hätten,hätten wir uns für länger eingerichtet.

Γενικά ήταν ωραίο , το κατάλυμα πέρα από αυτά που περιέγραψα ήταν σχετικά καλό , τα Ζαγοροχώρια είναι πολύ όμορφα , αξίζ

Ωραίο κατάλυμα , καθαρό , σε καλή τοποθεσία με πολύ ωραία θέα .

Ακούγονταν συνέχεια ένας θόρυβος μέσα στο δωμάτιο , σαν κάποια αντλία , κάθε φορά που κάποιος έκανε μπάνιο άνοιγε βρύση ή πατούσε καζανάκι και αυτό δεν συνέβαινε μόνο όταν κάναμε κάτι τέτοιο εμείς στο δωμάτιο μας αλλά και σε κάποιο άλλο δωμάτιο να έκανε κάποιος κάτι απο αυτά πάλι ακούγονταν με αποτέλεσμα να είναι ενοχλητικό ειδικά μέσα στη νύχτα . Όπως έπεισες όταν κάποιος περπατούσε στον επάνω όροφο ακούγανε το πάτωμα να τρίζει έντονα .

Waanzinnig mooie locatie!

De locatie is prachtig, kan niet mooier! Prachtig uitzicht vanaf het grote terras. Heel inspirerend! Kamer was klein maar fijn. Meer heb je niet nodig daar. Het project is bewonderingswaardig. De restauratie is heel mooi en professioneel gedaan.

Bij aankomst was niemand aanwezig en hebben zo'n half uur in de kou rondgelopen om iemand te vinden. Tenslotte werden we gebeld. Keuken is wat eenvoudig, maar alles is aanwezig.
