Loft Kapodistrias

Pretty cute loft in a central location in Corfu Town (even though it took us quite a while to find it the first time), close to both the airport and the city centre (about 20 minutes walk in each direction), air conditioning, kitchen with everything you might need & even more. In general, good value for money. And yeah, last but not least - very friendly and helpful owner.

Be ready for a bouquet of smells - musty, sewage etc. There are air fresheners here and there but unfortunately they don't really help, and neither does dehumidifier with humidity. Also, rather weird choice of colour for a shower cabin - it kinda looks like...dirty and you don't really feel comfortable stepping in there. Pretty steep steps - beds are on the second floor while for example the toilet is on the ground floor - so some handrails would be a really nice thing to consider installing. Finally, the cleaning could have been more thorough (dirty floor upon arrival, oily stovetop, spider nets almost in every corner etc.) , especially considering the cleaning fee given by the booking.com in the payment summary was quite... significant.

It is a nice place for a couple of days on a budget if you spend most of your time outside. The location is very convenient as it is a short walk to the airport (17min) as well as to the old town (20min). The communication with the host was easy and responsive. Also, it was a nice gesture from the host to provide several bottles of water and toiletries. The apartment was clean and the bed linen and towels smelled clean. The a/c worked perfectly. The check in process was easy and clear.

The loft is very humid and you can't open the window in the kitchen. Also, there was no light in the kitchen as the lamps didn't have lightbulbs. The internet didn't work. Your device connects to a WiFi signal extender but it never receives the connection. The hot water doesn't last long. There were no big mugs to prepare a tea, just small cups for espresso.

The location was good the stay was a lovely self contained quirky little place with lovely toiletries and kitchen.

The drains very smelly inside and outside, couldn’t sit outside there was no way of telling if it was going to be super smelly ie after rain its no one’s fault and probably why such a cute little place is cheap. The beds were a little too firm/hard.
