The location to Bala and the mountains was excellent. The Kitchen was great but needs a dishwasher. The Log burner was good and kept the front room warm but a door at the bottom of the stairs would reduce heat loss.
The lack of bulbs in the bathroom. The light above the shower needs a bulb in it. The bulbs also are the wrong type. You cannot see properly when having a shower at night. The bulbs in the kitchen facing the sink also need replacing.

The cottage was so cozy and warm. It was easy to find and with a little bit of travel there was load around. The host left Welsh cakes and milk, coffee, tea and sugar for us. It was beautiful and had everything we needed. The WiFi worked perfectly aswell.

Amazing cozy place! Something really special about this home. We felt right at home and it had everything you need to spend a rainy weekend in. The host was very helpful as well and really looked after us.
Nothing, it was perfect!

Lovely cosy cottage for a couple of nights with everything we needed as far as kitchen equipment etc. Host left us some basics in the fridge and for lighting the fire which really made the slightly chilly september evenings really lovely, we made use of the pack of cards, many thanks.
Third bedroom with bunkbeds is very tight but fine for children.

The cottage is situated in a very quiet position but close to the main road so it was easy to get around. The kitchen was well equipped but instructions for the cooker would have been a help. The bed in the main room was very comfortable and the welcome pack greatly appreciated however despite these good points it was certainly not even in the top 10 of places we’ve stayed at over the years.
The shower control was held together with a nut and bolt which was mentioned in a review from last May but still nothing done about it. The control actually came off in my hand when I turned it on which was a bit off putting and when I came to dry myself the towels didn’t even meet across my chest and I’m only a size 12. Not sure how my 6ft 2 inch husband managed! I certainly wouldn’t have called them ‘bath towels’. The toilet seat is still loose even though it was supposed to be fixed following a review in February. We are part of the older generation and as such a banister would have made us feel much safer going up and down the stairs which are quite steep but this would probably not have been a problem for younger people. Lastly, not only was the kitchen sink virtually blocked (took ages for water to drain away) but we also found a 2 inch slug on the kitchen floor ugh!!!
It is such a shame that these faults have not been rectified, especially those following previous reviews, as the cottage could be really lovely but the little things that need repairing certainly reduced the appeal and I would not recommend it unless they had been sorted. Obviously require a bit more attention by the owner. When renting a property I do not expect to find broken things which have been reported months previously but not rectified.

Beautiful, cosy cottage with everything you need. Plenty of space, nice bedrooms, good kitchen. And we were surprised by the lovely basket with welcome supplies. A stunning surrounding with Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and mountains in front of the house. A really good place to start and discover Snowdonia, North Wales.
Nothing, we really had a good stay. Perhaps only a bigger frying pan for the families who have to cook for 5 people 😉 And a measure cup or scale in the kitchen. The weather is not always so perfect, so sometimes it is best to stay in for a few hours. Then it is lovely to do some baking in a cottage like this, especially with the kids (the kitchen is perfect for it with all the space and ovens 😀 ).

Little touches like milk in the fridge and some lovely Welsh treats made all the difference. Lovely place

Lovely location, very convenient for all the wonderful things in the local area.
The set up was perfect for my daughter and I, comfy beds in both rooms and a nice area to chill out downstairs.
The Welsh cakes and milk were a lovely touch, my daughter adored the Welsh cakes, I barely got a look in ☺️
We will definitely stay here again as we now have the bug for the area and this property helped with that greatly.
A couple of details needed a refresh/update, the property smelt of cigarette smoke upon entering, the front door lock needed adjustment and was very difficult to unlock/lock for fear of snapping the key off and the bolt put into the shower controls as a handle was a little rough compared to the rest of the property which was delightful.

The cottage was definitely a home from home, loved all the nice little, homely touches, had an amazing log fire, and was in a perfect location to get out and about. A great host too, very helpful when enquiring about things to do in the area, i couldn't ask for more, and I would definitely book again

Cottage is in a quiet location, set approx 100yds off the road, nice views from the front and parking right outside. Seating area to the front. Cosy lounge and a fabulous reclining settee. Good size dinning kitchen and plenty of pots & pans etc. Large fridge/freezer and a good oven/grill and hob. Host had put milk in the fridge and left some welsh cakes. Bedrooms clean, comfortable and well furnished, towels and bedding included - we slept really well. The main bedroom (double) was lovely plenty of storage and a tv should you need it. The smaller two rooms I think were originally one as you passed through one to get to the other. The single room does not have a window but it didn't bother my granddaughter, she loved it. The other room has bunk beds and both rooms are nicely done. Good bathroom, lots of hot water and a nice big bath. Didn't use the shower as my grandchildren loved the bath but that looked good too. Loved the fireplace (wood burner) and all the exposed stone and the wood beams. Theres a little laundry/boiler room under the stairs with a washing machine and towel radiator. Bala high street is about three or four miles along the main road. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back again :)
A few little things. No welcome pack so I wasn't sure if I was to strip the beds or put the waste out... Loose toilet seat (moved as you sat on it) just a nut missing. No banister so not much to hold on to going up/down the stairs. Kitchen bin lid stuck open - got a bit smelly! Gutter missing above the front door - not really a problem except it rained heavily the whole time we where there which caused a stream of water right outside the front door - got a soaking each time we used it :(

Stayed here with my 11 year old neice, my best friend and her two children and the house was perfect for us. Its a real home away from home, with everything you could need for a holiday. The house has lots of character and plenty of space. The kids loved the big sofa with the cup holders!
Perfect base for exploring the Snowdonia area
The only thing that could be imporved would be the cleanliness, there were areas that could use a proper dusting and a little bit more attention to detail. But on the whole, it didn't really impact our trip.

LOCATION: was perfect for us, we spent two nights and on our one complete day we climbed Snowdon.
Bala, is a great little town for food and supplies.
STAFF: Emyli was great, the property is a bit difficult to find, especially if your satnav makes you go through the closed road on the south of the lake, our did! Emyli, guided us through the last little bit perfectly :).
Awesome experience
All perfect :)

Downstairs excellent, plenty of room and location to lake Bala was excellent
Upstairs quite dusty in master bedroom and house smelt a little musty - possibly one of the first people to visit this season? could have done with airing. The smell was the only downside everything else was great
