The location was advantageous being in a peaceful village in deep countryside but not far from attractive towns such as Long Melford. The loft rooms were cosey, comfortable and very well provided. Scott and his wife were excellent hosts and most helpful and the meal was very enjoyable. The Queen's Head has plenty of character and agreeable ambiente.
Everything was great.

A comfy bed and pillows, a good shower and a welcome cake and breakfast box appreciated.
Would have liked dinner on site, however we picked the wrong day for our stay, food served Thursday to Sunday. Towels clean but a bit past their best.

The setting is incredibly peaceful. Easy connections through country lanes to some key sights. Pleasant local walks.
The apartment was very well appointed and set out, with peaceful views from the bedroom windows.
The owners and staff were very friendly and engaged and clearly well respected by the local community.
The food was of a high quality. Although the food is restricted to specific days that worked for us and it was well attended, clearly indicating the quality and popularity.
Without doubt we will be going again.
There was nothing to dislike.

Our expectations for a two night stay were fully met. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet.

Accommodation excellent, plenty of room, good cooking facilities & plenty of cookware. Separate entrance so can come & go without going through pub. Lovely large walk in shower & plenty of hot water.
Unfortunately the breakfast was a DIY Continental style & the pub no longer does a full menu. Not a problem if using as a holiday let, but we like to eat & drink at the accommodation so we don't have to drive

The location, ambiance and fascination of staying in the Queens Head - built in the 15th Century was a delight. The rooms we had were spacious and full of charming character to say the least. The modern equipment installed was very good. People were very friendly. It felt good to be there. Uplifting.
Breakfast? What breakfast - bread, croissants, butter, some jam and marmalade was provided for first morning (Saturday) together with small pots of muselli. But only some more croissants and jam was added one evening for the next morning. So, no breakfast on the Monday! It had run out. We had an evening meal on the Friday after arriving in what is claimed to be a gourmet pub. The meal was OK but we were more or less in the noisy bar area. No evening meals were provided Sunday evening. (Theur ntice said there would be no meals Monday and Tuesday but actually it was Sunday as well. Misleading. This is a hamlet miles from the next one. We were told afterwards that we could have ordered a take-away. This should be made more clear up font so visitors know how to plan ahead.

This was our 2nd stay at The Queens Head and we will definitely be staying there again. Scott and Juliette are a lovely welcoming couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and the apartment upstairs that we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and provided with everything that we needed. The area is very much a farming community with friendly and social folk attended the bar each evening. The food is also very good here.
Nothing to dislike.

The privacy of the room was excellent, with a bedroom, living room (with kitchen) and large bathroom.
The bed and the sofa were not as comfortable as we had hoped.

Everything was of a high standard.

evening meal was excellent cannot be faulted. Owners who ran the pub very welcoming and friendly and were great hosts.
No cooked breakfast available for me on the Friday morning of my stay, I was provided in my room with croissants, condiments and sadly a stale bread roll which I left. There was tea and milk etc so it was passable at best however for £130 a night I would have expected a little better/more effort to be honest. Everyone has their own preference but for me the mattress was far too soft and thin. I prefer firm mattress

Couldn't get channel 10 on the TV in the bedroom but this was a very minor thing.
