Malthouse Farm Cottage Studio

A great little studio apartment, there’s a double bed and a sofa bed which easily accommodated my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). A little kitchenette with all you could need for a short stay. We used it for a weekend trip to Alton Towers and it worked really well. It’s easy to find and within a fairly short drive. There are swings and a trampoline which my kids loved! Everything was spotlessly clean and there were lovely little touches like the cushions and the chalkboard. We met a very sweet little cat who was very friendly. Communication from the host was excellent.

The only very small thing we would feedback is that the curtains are very thin and let in light which meant we were awake a bit earlier than we had anticipated while facing another long busy day at the theme park! But with small kids they are often up at the crack of dawn anyway!

The property was beautiful, it had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. They had a beautiful little cat that my daughter loved playing with as well as a trampoline and swing set. Jayne was lovely, when we arrived she came out to welcome us. I had informed her that we were staying as a birthday treat for my daughter along with a visit to Alton Towers, she recommended a brilliant place (Penny’s Cabin) where I could have some balloons ordered, Jayne was very kind to collect them and put them in the cottage before we arrived, my daughter was thrilled! Thank you so much for a memorable stay, we will definitely be returning!

We loved the property!

The studio.waa.compact and perfect for myself, Husband and twin boys. We had plenty of space, Jayne was great and set out equipment for us to use the BBQ The boys loved the steam train that went by up across the hills, playtime in the garden and with the Cows at Breakfast. Really ideal staying on a working farm with toddlers they are constantly amazed and entertained We also nipped down the road to Charlie Bassets and again had a great time

Doggie smell & dog hairs, loose toilet seat, couldn't get tv to work no instructions, towels like cheese grater, bedside light doesn't work,stains on bed linen.
