The renovated spaces of the resort are gorgeous, we felt safe, and the staff is amazing. Great entertainment. A decent variety of food options.
Communication is lacking, they do not tell you upon checking in that room service, certain booze and wine are not included in the All Inclusive package. We also were not informed of the beach condition due to the sargassum issues, we figured it out when we walked down to the beach and the smell was unbearable. (We understand it’s unpredictable this time of year but inform your guest) Restaurants- You are not able to book dinner reservations for the evening of your arrival or even the next day, if restaurants are full and they fill up fast. (How we found out about room service charges as we arrived in between snack bar and buffet being closed) The resort is somewhat difficult to navigate as a first time goer. The pool areas are dated, tiles are falling off and bottom of some pools are jagged. Resort claims pool access rooms that are 13+ and they are NOT 13+ or regulated. We had expected our room to be in a somewhat quieter area considering we were sold a 13+ room when we booked (expecting parents with older children in that area if any) and it was the complete opposite. Many small children in the pool area that are supposedly 13+ all day. Many times on our swim up area, sitting on our steps to our room crying, screaming etc. Overall a nice resort for families with children. Would not recommend for couples get away. MAKE SURE TO LOCK YOUR PATIOS! The monkeys WILL get in your room.

The staff were so lovely, the rooms were beautiful and everything was easy. The buffet restaurant was incredible and the drinks were fantastic.
They only open 2 or 3 restaurants per night, which alternate and move locations, so there isn’t as much choice as we thought. We were also told on arrival we have to book dinner reservations 2 nights in advance, which is difficult when you’re only staying 3 days. However when we went to each restaurant, there were plenty of tables available.

This is a beautiful newly renovated hotel, with friendly staff and great food in the buffet. The rooms were renovated and the surroundings are stunning.
We were disappointed with some of the bookable restaurants, as well as the range of included activities being quite limited.

The rooms have really been renovated and are really comfortable and luxurious. There are lots of pools around the resort so you can always find a place to be here. The children's area is really beautiful and fun. Lots of slides for adults and children.
The food is really, really mediocre for a place that considers itself a luxury hotel. The food is really bad except for the hamburger at the lunchtime diner. Everything sucks. Because there are a lot of pool areas, you have to go very far down the hill to find the towel area, and the bar is also located far away if you don't sit at the bar's pool. The staff is not the most polite and check-in takes forever. I added an extra night and the clerk made a mistake in the calculation, so the next day they chased me for the extra $100 as if I was going to run away from the resort, in addition to the fact that the hotel is very far from the center of Playa, where you have to take a taxi for 900 pesos to get to the city.
