Asep Gumi Bamboo Villa Pesagi

We really enjoyed the beautiful bamboo Villa, the beautiful countryside and jungle, the accomodation was awesome. The staff was very lovely, kind and caring, helping us with everything we needed. We went for little jungle and river walks, it is so peaceful and beautiful there, I definitely recommend you going there! The beds were so comfortable, and the breakfast included was awesome, and the local coffee tastes so good. Definitely worth the drive out there!

From Australia to Bali, 1 didn't know that they use different types of wall plug adapters, so I didn't bring any, but at check in on our arrival day, I told the staff at the Villa, and they very kindly got some phone charger adapters, so everything was good:)

- excellent design and lovely architecture - the food selection has lots of good veggie dishes, the wrap for breakfast was very tasty and also the kelor soups - friendly staff - quiet and peaceful environment - overall, quite complete facilities.

- despite the environment, some places and furniture need thorough clean up like pillows with insect stains etc - the warm water in my room is too limited for bath despite a bath tub presence - some guests might need more meaty option for the restaurant - some facilities were still in repair like the sulfur pool ; it would be better if I had been notified first. these all notes for improvement so I could visit again!

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed with “Welcome home,” we knew this place was special. We stayed three nights at Aspep Gumi Retreat and honestly didn’t want to leave. Our villa with a private pool was stunning, super spacious, beautifully designed, very clean and well maintained and surrounded by pure jungle vibes. You really feel connected to nature but still completely safe and comfortable. The view from the bed straight into the lush green jungle was magical, and the light canopy made it feel so cozy and peaceful. Some of the other villas were being renovated and there was work on a neighboring property, but it didn’t bother us. We couldn’t see or hear anything, and we actually had the entire gorgeous retreat all to ourselves. The team was amazing, so friendly and caring, and really made us feel at home. The food was incredible. I’ve never had such delicious Balinese dishes, and the prices were very fair, especially considering the secluded location. The cooking class was a real highlight. We got to choose the dishes ourselves, including our favorite meals from the previous days. It was personal, fun and full of heart. We truly loved every minute here. It’s a place full of peace, warmth and magic, a stay we will never forget. 💚
