Beautiful peaceful place. I stayed one week there just relaxing. Breakfast is great and the menu they have is also delicious with good reasonable prices. They are really lovely host. A lot of birds and some butterflies coming during the day to the beautiful garden, and just about 6 rooms. So is really cozy. Great lovely host. For sure Im gonna come back.

Swiming pool could be bit small if all rooms are occupied, but was not the case while I was there. Everything else was perfect.

The food was lovely, however limited menu. Credit to the staff they were flexible and I was able to work within the menu choices.

To be honest, the only I thing I didn't like was that the beer was not cold enough - but there was a fridge with a freezer - problem solved. Also, the room could have used with the option of self serve drinking water as Bali is very humid. The options to eat out for a long stay were limited - as needed transport. While the above question is subjective - I am working hard on what recommendations I would make as opposed to what I didn't like.

the property was well kept neat gardens pool just right good for cooling off from the Bali heat staff able to organize scooters which we needed to get around.

The place is wonderful, beautiful and safe, and there is a river in the back. And welcome reception.

This was such a peaceful oasis about an hour outside of Ubud. A cozy little retreat center with a family running it that made you feel at home the moment you arrive. They have morning yoga, a beautiful pool to relax by, some simple lovely food options from their family restaurant, a puppy I fell in love with and are located about 1.5 miles to the beach. A perfect place to just relax and be away from it all for a couple of days.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! My only gentle suggestion would be a bit more light in the bungalows. ☺️

The place is quiet and calm, great way to unwind in the nature. I especially loved how attentive and friendly the staff was. Everyone knew my name and was ready to fulfil all my wishes

There was an issue with processing my credit card, so might be a good idea to bring cash.

The staff were lovely and it was in a pretty area. I loved the pool. The pillows were divine.

I'd booked a deluxe room but it was pretty basic. Nowhere at all to put clothes - no drawers or hanging area. The water was not hot and the shape of my hut with no open sides on the verandah meant that I got no breeze at all there. I had expected more for the money as it was in a remote area.

Wifi was very dependable. Staff and owners outstanding! Kind, compassionate and considerate service with a smile! Loved this very first experience of staying in the Tabanan area during my first visit to Bali. I actually had a meditative experience that directed me to staying here as my first stop in Bali. I can now understand why. A beautiful setting, fantastic pool that was never overly busy, great staff, good food and a very welcoming experience. Wayan and his wife Komang are lovely owners and hosts. Each took me to different places they knew I'd like to see... one beautiful hike - I needed Wayan's help for even this simple hike on stones I didn't have confidence walking on although I am a regular hiker in Ontario, Canada - he was very helpful with both encouragement and a needed hand. Helped me get to a secluded (sacred?) rock space where he gave me some space to take time to do a short meditation. Also took me on another day to the famous Tanah Lot Temple on the Ocean - absolutely spectacular! His wife Komang took me to a much-needed bank machine when I discovered neither my Visa nor Mastercard were working properly for my payments... then took me to the nearby black sand Beach! Also a great location that many fellow travellers spent time at to sunbathe or enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean so close to Dukuh. Though I did not participate in the offered yoga or massage, I did speak to others who did and loved their experiences. I loved the meditation time in this beautiful space. Please also note that each staff member was kind, and always willing to lend a hand. I must mention a special lady named Maday - such a beautiful and joyful soul! I hope if any readers stay here after reading this review, that you will give her a special hello and enjoy her compassionate care too (cooking, cleaning... and sharing loving energy)! May you enjoy your stay as much as I did mine - if you'd like some peace, this is a great place to enjoy it!

Staff very busy so did forget to serve me a meal once... just had to remind them and did receive it. I noticed staff does want each guest to enjoy the retreat in whichever way they would like to. Since I was focused on meditation (by going within myself even if out in the public spaces here) - I believe they wanted to give me that space... though might forget about me too!! lol! Luckily, I loved having a reason to remind them about anything I needed - and they always responded in good time.

The room was spotless, with a modern bathroom and lovely details eg fresh flowers. Also so beautifully quiet at night. Truly a rare find in Bali. I spent 3 lovely days here relaxing in the pool, and eating delicious home cooked meals. Wayan the host and his whole family took every effort to ensure I was comfortable, dropping me to the beach and even taking a group of us to the temple. Such a lovely, welcoming place. This is possibly my all time favourite stay in beautiful Bali

Perfect spot to get away from the over-populated tourist areas and relax in the Balinese countryside. Wish we had spent more time here. Staff was so friendly and helpful!

The location was very relaxing. The room was clean, spacious and with all amenities that you needed. The staff were so kind and accommodating. I would 100% go back here, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe and looked after. The food was nice.

Absolutely loved my stay here! All new wooden bungalows that have all the facilities you want. The food is amazing, you can relax by the pool, go to the beach, have a massage, yoga lessons etc. The village is lovely and the owners will take you river fishing, sunrise trekking in the rice fields and tell you all about local traditions. Go here to wind down and see real Bali.

The owners, Bp Wayan and Ibu Komang, were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and so were the staff. The resort concept is based on a sustainable lifestyle with abundant greenery, fruit trees and homegrown vegetables used in cooking the meals. For a small fee you can rent a bike to visit the beach down the road.

The stay was too short to enjoy all the amenities.

We loved our stay here. We spent there our last 2 days in Bali. The house was clean and it had a nice smell of wood inside. We had hot shower! Amazing breakfast. We asked for noodles with egg on top, it was very delicious. There is nice clean pool, but we didn't use it. The owner made sure we had a great time there and even gave us a tip how to handle a scratch on our rented car :) We felt like home. We recommend this place with our heart.

The Location is beautiful, it feels like you sleep in the middle of the jungle. The owners are very friendly.

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and treated as family. The location is beautiful, set in the jungle close to the beach, there's even a river spot behind to go fishing. The retreat offers several activities, all giving you a taste of traditional Balinese life. We were lucky enough to be invited to help out with a neighbours wedding preparation, which was an incredible opportunity. Something were really grateful for. Wayan took us fishing, where afterwards his wife taught us how to cook what we had caught, prepared along with all organic ingredients grown at the retreat, it was so tasty! We only stayed for 2 nights but wish we were there longer, if we had time we would've been able to create our own Coconut oil from coconuts grown on the property, there's a scooter available to hire and they were so ready and willing to help us with everything, even giving us a ride to the beautiful black sand beach not far away. Thank you Dukuh retreat for a truly wonderful couple of days, we won't forget this any time soon.

We would have liked some shade on at least part of the pool...maybe a shade tree by pool.

The location was great only 5 minutes to beach on our scooter the place was amazing awesome hand crafted chalets with 2 balconies Host family were so great and welcoming we had been on the road for couple hours and booked at last minute and it was like finding an oasis, they cooked a lovely fish meal that night for us , this retreat has been one of the highlights of our Bali trip😊😊

Nice stop in a quiet area between Canggu and Balian! Have lunch or dinner at Yeh Gangga at the Cliffhouse, on the beach!
