Rose Titanic Belfast holiday home

Fantastic stay. We really enjoyed it and David was very informative 👍

The only small niggle was patchy WiFi but there was that much to do and see it wasn't a problem

The Titanic theme - my son is a huge fan so he was in his element staying here. David was also a fantastic host and gave us a tour of his home which the kids also loved. We had a great time.

The smaller double bed was a very small one - we didn't risk the kids staying in it as I was concerned they'd fall out

So full of character, a really interesting house! Wish we were staying longer to make the most of the outside area The most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in in a holiday rental

The quirkiness of the decor,the kitchen was kitted out well,location good only for the titanic museum.

A quirky idea, but sadly not worth the money. We booked Rose Titanic Belfast for three nights at a cost of around £600. The main reason we chose it was the quirky Titanic theme throughout the property, with paintings and decorations depicting Belfast and the Titanic in 1912. It looked really interesting and different from a normal hotel or accommodation, and that was what sold it to us. The property is around a 55-minute walk from Belfast city centre. That's partly our own fault, as we should have researched the location more carefully before booking, but it is worth mentioning for anyone considering staying here. On arrival, the owner meets you and gives you a tour of the property. While we appreciate the intention, the tour was unannounced and, after travelling for around nine hours, arriving at 11:30am, we really just wanted to get settled and relax. Our biggest concern was cleanliness. The breakfast bar was sticky and grubby, the kitchen was not particularly clean and the floors throughout the property were dirty. The outside covered area is also in serious need of repair, with the roof leaking badly enough to make sitting outside and relaxing there very difficult. There is a hot tub available for an additional £60 if you want to use it. We didn't, but unfortunately there was a very strong and unpleasant smell coming from it, which was noticeable even without using it. The shower was another issue. The temperature was extremely difficult to control and the water pressure was very low. There are also no carpets throughout the property, meaning that every footstep could be heard,this may not bother everyone but certainly effected our ability to relax. In summary the Titanic theme is genuinely quirky but if you look beyond this the cleanliness, state of repair,shower,outside area and location let the property down considerably. If this had been a conventional hotel we would have asked for another room.
