SPONDON HOUSE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

Very good value for money as had access to cooker and fridge/freezer which saved me money as I could cook things and bring my own packed lunches to store in the fridge.

There was a slight smoky smell on the pillowcases so if I book here again which I probably will as my Dundee table tennis team will be playing at nearby Draycott TTC this season, can you please make sure the bedrooms and pillows are smelling nice and fresh.

The location is great! Especially if you’re going to download festival at Donington park! The drive space is good and the property in general is spacious. The living area and kitchen are the highlights.

It can be a bit of a shame as the property had so much potential! It just needs sprucing up! Lots of things were broken and needed replacing. E.g oven glove with a hole in it, burnt spatulas. And when i went to shut the bedroom window the handle came off! The new handle was on the window ledge but hadn’t been fitted for our stay. The shower was hanging off the wall and the bin lid came off as we were departing. One good spruce up going to home bargains and B&Q would boost the property massively! Also the property wasn’t dirty, however spider webs on ceilings could have easily been vacuumed.

Served a purpose

Responsive owner who sorted out a few minor issues following our checkin but some items still needing attention and maintenance eg bedroom door coming off its hinges, funky odour in the single bedroom, pendant lights that are not located correctly, resulting in many a head collision and I’d suggest all the beds/mattresses need to be renewed.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

NOTHING but the location and quiet street

When we got to the property it was freezing cold and the boiler was not working. So I rang the owner and he came to fix it. Only a matter of moments later the fuse switch in the fuse box kept sparking and turning off the boiler and all plug sockets (in the whole house) and electricity upstairs. So I phoned the owner again. He came over and looked. He said there is no way he could get an electrician out during our stay but he would provide us with heaters for the rooms. The heaters did not work and the only light that we could get to work was from a small lamp in one of the rooms with the ONLY working plug socket in the whole house! NO HEATING, NO HOT WATER, NO ELECTRICITY throughout the whole stay! It was so cold over night that all 4 of us had to share one room and one bed to try and stay warm! We tried to find somewhere else to stay because it became unbearably cold but there was no where available on such short notice! The house was covered in mould also! It’s inhabitable yet he still continues to charge people to stay there!

Very clean, comfy beds, nice shower and a separate bathtub. Big kitchen and nice seperate living room, plenty of room for the family of 4. Had trouble with the lock box to get in but owner was quick to help.

Location is great. Modern appliances. Updated decorating and furnishing. WIFI. Smart tv Netflix etc. Secure. Great host who continues investing in the house to make it even better. Well done.

There was enough space for us

This property was disappointing. Firstly The hosts should let guests know the garden is a disgusting mess. The entire place is done to a very poor standard and there has been no effort put in by the owners, some ornaments still had stickers and big tags on as if just thrown in wherever. We had to clean the bathroom and kitchen including mop the floor on our arrival. The bath Mat and kitchen towel were soaking wet used by other people which is disgusting and definitely not covid safe. There were no replacements to use either so we had to buy our own t towels. The shower is blocked so the water doesn’t drain. Things have been done on the cheap here and done very badly. There is no excuse for a dirty property

Excellent 3 bedroom house if you do not bother about not having a nice garden.

Location is easy to access from M1. Toilet and Kitchen are newly fitted and in pristine condition. Good sized living room with TV / Wifi/ Virgin media TV connection. House was very spacious for us 5 to live comfortably for 4 nights. Garden is there wirh the property but not yet completed and overgowth need to be cut. Beds are of good quality. Quiet surroundings and neighbours.

Nothing to dislike inside the house, as it is a very comfortable to stay..will be nice if garden is updated.

This is a lovely spacious, comfortable, clean house with excellent kitchen facilities and equipment. Comfy beds and a good shower in a quiet residential area with off road parking.

There was nothing to dislike about this house. Please don't be put off by the outside area on arrival, it is a work in progress.

Lovely hosts, beautiful property and fab location!

The hosts were wonderful. We were welcomed on arrival and the property was spotless. It's a beautiful home in a great location close to parks, walking trails and 10 minutes away from the M1 for anyone working nearby.

I do not have anything negative to say about my stay. I highly recommend this property.
