very disappointed

False advertising,room with sea view was advertised we got a room with no sea view and the bathroom light was not working we where 2 people and receives ons one small bottle of water .

Short stay in beautiful location right on the beach

Right on the beach. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Rooms clean and neat.

VERY late check in! 16:00!! And then have to check out by 10:00. Also late to clean room and we were tired so just told them not to even bother. Loud people in room below us kept us awake until 01:45!

Loved the location being next too/on the sea. The staff were amazing, we loved the welcoming service and the staff especially the ladies going out their way to make our trip special.

Late check in 4pm and early check out 10am. Ideal would be 2pm check in and 12pm check out. However, the hotel was busy so expected but more cleaning staff in busy season would help out a lot. Air con will be needed Longer mirrors would be great

Blaauwberg gem

The breakfast was divine and of a high standard. Food was excellent at the Restaurant. The sea view was absolutely impressive. The staff was helpful.

The general room "ambience" was a disappointment for the money paid. Too basic and clinical - more of a backpackers look. The broken window latch was a sore eye. The blinds were all broken and looked unfriendly. The broken window panels on the stoep lounge was also not a good impression.

Room nothing like images online

Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The room I had looked NOTHING like the pictures. I was on the ground floor and the restaurant was right outside my room. I could hear people talking and at night there was some machine making a noise every 10minutes. I could not comprehend how the images on site looked so vastly different to the actual room. I'm not sure if the other rooms were the same. I paid less for a hotel in Century City which was amazing.

More than Disappointing!

The location is breathtaking as the hotel is on the beach.Onsite staff members were friendly and tried to be courteous. However, couldn't help as there were no alternate rooms available.

Planned a celebratory trip for my mum who's 65 and myself. Had to leave within 10 minutes of checking in. The room was nothing like that pictures shown on the website. Clearly run down and not maintained. The room was also dirty with oil on the dresser and a bed that wasn't properly made. The view was obstructed by a cloudy sliding door. The balcony windows were covered with dust as if it hadn't been cleaned for months. Balcony hadn't been maintained resulting in a dirty looking floor and mould on the wall. The bathroom also had no ventilation resulting in a damp smell. For someone sensitive to smell this is definitely a big no no! Struggling to get back a refund as the property insists that this is their standard due to being a coastal hotel. Feels like I've been scammed. Having to find alternative accommodation at such short notice with my mum was stressful and heartbreaking as we really looked forward to our time at this hotel.

Check in time is late at 4, although hotel says you are welcome to come to the bar, etc. Food menu is limited so you don’t have much option to eat and wait for 4pm.

What was meant to be a special occasion ended in tears and disappointment.

The food was superb and the kitchen staff and staff on duty did their best to try and make me comfortable.

Did not get the room I booked. Were only interested in assisting foreign visitors and meeting their demands even though we booked months in advance. Reservation staff exceptionally rude when replying to my email on the booking error. They showed no empathy nor offered any solutions in trying to rectify the matter.

It was just okay, but the location was good. Close to most of the places you’d want to visit in Cape Town.

Since we got there, we couldn’t connect to WiFi. Only when we were by the restaurant only. But from our rooms there was no connection. We were told that they will fix it but they didn’t. One of our rooms the door/key was broken, couldn’t open it. Had to leave it unlocked for most of the days we were there.

Location, location, location

Buffet breakfast was nice, but if you order coffee at breakfast, you cannot switch to juice unless you pay extra. No hairdryer, body lotion or beach towels in the room. For the price, there can at least be decent coffee in the rooms, like a Nescafe coffee machine with pods.

The positioning of the room allocated to me was truly disappointing to say the least.

The bed was quite comfortable, I wish I had the peace and quiet to properly enjoy it.

Upon checking in I was told I had booked the last room, which happened to be front door to the dining area and separated by the wall with the reception area. Throughout the night I could hear people talking at reception. It was worse in the morning when people started coming in for breakfast, all the sounds from coffee machine, people checking out and plates and cutlery, it felt like I was sleeping in a public space. The bedroom had no door, it was removed, which could have helped a tiny bit in reducing noise levels. Actually that room downstairs should have never been a sleeping room. The amount I paid for peace and quiet and some rest, truly went to waste.

A luxurious stay with a few hiccups

The staff at the property were very welcoming and allowed us to relax while waiting for our room, which they prepared a little earlier. The food was absolutely spectacular, and those ocean views! Falling asleep to the ocean was relaxing.

When contacting the property on this app, they were quite rude and very unhelpful, so we arrived very disheartened. The staff on site were completely different, very friendly. The upstairs drinks area was a little dirty, and it was unclear if we could get drinks there, which was a pity.

Staff were great , great location

The water in the room was cold , we had a horrible shower on a cold day . The door mechanism was also faulty, so it was very difficult to unlock the door .. Very overrated.
