Comfy bed, great location. Smart TV for streaming. Nice staff.
The front door is sticky, but it's an old building.

Fantastic location and charm. Room was large with great windows.
It’s an older property so has quirks you’d expect. We enjoyed it. :)

There is nothing my wife and I were unhappy with during our stay.

If you’d like to travel back in time to the Victorian days of the late 1800s, this is a must-stay place for you.
None.

The location is fantastic. Mary, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean and the bed was super comfortable.
The deadbolt on the room didn’t work. We were cautioned not to use it because it gets stuck in the lock position! There were no signs on the door stating this - just the verbal warning from Mary. This is potentially a very dangerous situation If someone accidentally locked the deadbolt and needed to get out of the room quickly!
Also, the heat wasn’t working in the room so we were told to use an electric heater that was in the closet. This also in very dangerous if the heater was used improperly.
My guess is that the local fire marshal would be very
concerning about the issues I mentioned above. I hope the hotel will get these things taken care of before something bad happens!

The historical building was beautiful and our 2-bedroom suite was fantastic- roomy and elegant.
We couldn’t control the heat and couldn’t get the gas fireplace to work so we were a little cold.

huge rooms in a historic building. Very beautiful. No elevator though. Location was great right in downtown Pt. Townsend.
no airconditioning but fans supplies and most of the time you dont get super hot weather here anyway.

Mary, at the front desk, was sweet and helpful. We loved the older hotel - high ceilings, wooden wardrobes in the rooms - and our bed was comfy. The location can't be beat. We ended up parking near the marina, which is a short walk away.
There was no a/c and it was quite warm when we arrived. We opened all the windows, which felt a bit dangerous because there were no screens. I was a little disappointed in the bathtub - molded plastic and out of character with the rest of the place - and the water pressure was poor.

The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing! If you’re a big fan of old buildings like that and aesthetic of old times then you’ll definitely enjoy the hotel!
The only thing i didn’t like is the absence of air-conditioners and weak water-pressure in the shower.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location (right in the centre of town). The room was huge and the beds very comfortable. There is a shared kitchen to make coffee and to get ice which was very convenient for us. The room was very clean. Check in was very easy, staff was helpful and there are many shops and eating places near by.
I have no negative things to point out, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great location on Water St, very friendly staff, clean and well-kept.
No issues

Location, great old building
Wasn’t aware there was not an elevator. Had to pull items from suitcase for the night because we couldn’t carry them up so many steps.
Also not aware there was no air conditioning. Very warm in the 3rd floor room.
Partly my fault for not checking reviews ahead of time but the hotel was highly ranked on Booking.com and the rate was very high so I made some assumptions. Would have complained to the staff but she went home at 5pm and was not there when we left at 9am.

location
small window, mold smell in hallway, low ceiling - the room had a cave-like feeling

No breakfast. Location was ideal.
TV never worked.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was cool and quiet even facing the main street The location was perfect for my event. Bathroom appointments were fairly new.
If you have mobility/stair issues, don't even think about this place. I had a three-story walkup with no elevator. Room furnishings were completely unacceptable, old wooden chairs, a child's desk and padded chair so low to the ground it was easier to roll onto the floor rather than stand up.

Beautiful, huge, quiet, pretty room, right by the water and all the lovely shops on Water Street. We had a view of the sea. The beds were so great. The room was super clean, and the staff was very nice.
Be aware that they don’t have parking on the property (I wouldn’t expect it because it’s a historic building), but there was plenty of street parking. We were able to unload our stuff in front of the hotel, then park on a side street.

I like it a lot

Clean room, complimentary tea, water kettle, nice comfy bed, and large windows.
Heater would not turn off, small shower, loud seagulls and street noises at night.

The rooms were dated, but very, very clean and they went perfect with the overall vibe of the building and the age of the hotel
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay long enough. We were just there for the evening to catch the ferry. Wish we would have gotten there much earlier to enjoy the city. The very nice lady that manages the property was so accommodating to us. I would highly suggest this hotel it’s not Your run of the mill big chain hotel. It reminds me of some of the hotels in Europe.

It was perfect for a ladies three day getaway.
The location was great. Close to shops and restaurants. Our room overlooked the waterfront with a balcony where we could relax outside or eat at the picnic table. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Lots of room in our suite.Beds were comfortable and bedding was good.Liked that the windows opened.Great location.
No microwave. No recycle bin.Not enough lighting in bathroom. No hooks in bathroom. No place to put toiletries in bathroom.TV was tiny for the size of the main bedroom. 2nd "bedroom" could have used a coat rack or hooks. Removable screens were torn. Asked for a fan for 2nd bedroom, never got one. Hotel is very old and could use a refresh. No signage about changing linens. No info in rooms about things to do and see in town.WiFi very spotty. No help with luggage up all the stairs to 3rd floor.

Sky light was cool, but it was super bright very early in the morning.

Nothing. Beware of many steps up a stair to get to rooms

Huge, beautiful rooms with a large bed and comfy couch and chair. Big balcony with swing, picnic table and great views!
A nice boardwalk went along the water edge. The town is historic and could have spent much more time there.
Not enough lights, and the second room was too scary for me, lol. (Separated from the main area and up in a loft). We were on the second floor and the stairs were hard on my sister with neuropathy. No elevator, unfortunately.

Couple of hooks or a shelf in the bathroom would be helpful.

There was no breakfast. We stayed in rm 2. There was only one comfortable chair and there was 2 of us there was definitely room for another chair. Was surprised there was no hair dryer. The bed was awesome.

We loved the history of The Monarch Hotel. It is a beautiful building and they have done an amazing job of keeping the aesthetic. The staff was very accommodating and friendly! The location is also great! We felt super safe and our room was very clean.
The only complaints that I have were that the quality of bedding, towels and such was horrible. I have never slept on such scratchy and low quality sheets. The towels were the same. Very hard and uncomfortable. The toilet paper was like sand paper. I would love to stay there again, but hope they up their quality of bedroom supplies!

Nothing to not like!

Loved the location and nostalgia.
The desk clerk asked if we wanted two physical keys and we replied that we did. Then she looked for the second key and told me that she couldn’t locate it. This was disconcerting to find that the clerk was not concerned that the extra key was missing. My friend and I both felt unsafe and I felt like I needed to block the door just in case someone else had the key during the night.

The Monarch Hotel was great. I took my two adult children and their spouses. We stayed in Suite #5. We especially loved the covered deck overlooking the bay and the Victorian architecture, and it'slocatedon Water Street whichisthemainstreet. . The room was clean. The kitchen had the basic pots and dishes, and the bathroom had a great tub/shower. The staff were friendly.
The front door, bathroom door and the door to the balcony are in need of some WD-40. The electric woodstove wasn't working.
